Annual pass dilemma

We have a 3 park, 5 day ticket for an upcoming trip. I have 2 questions:

1. If we used the ticket at the water park, then decided to upgrade to AP. Can we upgrade to a 2 park AP? Or we're locked in to a 3 park AP (because we already used the ticket at the water park)?
2. If I upgrade my ticket to an AP on my last park day, which happened to be a concert day, therefore blocked out on the seasonal AP. Can I still upgrade to a seasonal AP? Or my only option is power AP and above?

Thank you in advance to your response.

If you go to VB, you can only upgrade to the 3 park AP.

I haven't done it but I understand you can still do a Seasonal AP even if you've used the tickets on blackout days. You just can't re-enter a blocked out park once you have upgraded (so, upgrade after you have entered US for the final time that day).

I upgraded to a Seasonal AP on a concert day. We went in and did all that we wanted on the US side first. Then we went to Customer Service inside the US park. We upgraded our tickets to SAPs and then he had to escort us out of the park. We couldn't return to US that day, but could go to IOA.

I also inquired about upgrading a 3-park ticket to 2. That was a no-go.

even if you didn't enter VB at all, the current policy is that a 3 parks ticket needs to be upgraded to a 3 parks AP.

you're locked in to a 3 parks AP no matter what, unless you find the odd TM bending the rules, if that's even a thing

A slightly different variation then. If I purchase the current promo Park to Park tickets with 3rd park (Volcano Bay) free, would they be considered 2 park tickets and so only upgradable to 2 park APs? Or would they be considered 3 park tickets which would have to be upgraded to 3 park APs?

I would imagine you're locked in since it's a three-park ticket but your best bet would be to call guest services and ask. Get the answer from the horse's mouth.
