Animal Kingdom 2 br savannah room requests

Hey everyone! What requests would you recommend for room location for 2 BR savannah room at Kidani? I have a 10 and 13 yo and they want to see animals!!

Low floor - the lowest is 2nd, best view of the savanna.

@drusba has a wonderful explanation of which animals appear on which savannas and what to request to have the best chance to see them. Hopefully they’ll chime in here for you.

Key first request is room with Sunset savanna view. That is about 80% of all savanna view rooms. Sunset has giraffes and zebras. Those are not at Pembe. Its excuse for a giraffe is an Okapi -- a somewhat cute giraffe-relative about 1/5 the size.

Two requests to consider as second requests are either room near the Rafiki elevator or room near the Timon Elevator. The Rafiki elevator is on the north wing and gives you shortest possible trip to a gate to the pool (down the elevator to garage level first floor and then out to a pathway to the pool), while also putting you within manageable striking distance of the lobby and bus station. Room near the Timon elevator on the south wing provides a short trip to the bus station and puts you within manageable striking distance of the lobby and pool. On Sunset, near both those locations, is a feeding spot for animals and thus they frequent the area.

I would not make lower floor your first request as order of requests is important and more than two are seldom granted. Thus making a lower floor first request could result in room on Pembe savanna or near the end of one of the wings from which walk to lobby and pool or bus station can take forever. Also, the most popular request, because of the distances, is for room close to the lobby. The problem with that request is that the sheer numbers that make it result in many not getting it and instead ending up near the end of one of the wings.
