Angelrose's Journey

Hi snappyd, welcome back. Well, it looks like closing is being put off yet again. Everyone hold your ears, while I SCREAMMMMMMM. AHHHH that felt better. LOL It's always some little detail that was overlooked or we didn't do 20 years ago. We have a lawyer looking into it for us for $250 for an hour's phone conversation. sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Then Karen received an email from the doctor's office saying they called in my prescription for Prednezone. Walmart has no prescription for me. So tomorrow when I go to to the doctor I will not have my dose. We will be having a conversation about that.

Well hoping that at least my liver numbers will be down and I can start taking a lower dose of that nasty stuff. Then he will look at my blood test and say that he is worried. REALLY?? I don't know why you would be worried about a patient having stage 4 cancer. Stage 4 is just a number. I'm not going to get upset about it. When the Lord says it's my time, then I will go. Not until then. In the meantime I intend to have the time of my life, LIVING!

Hope you husband gets to retire soon and you get some beach time.

Yeah Mary - 2 Minnie’s are hoping things are going smoothly for you!

I got to babysit both Ben & his 6 week old sister last evening. She had her eyes open for a while! (I haven’t spent much time with her yet!) Ben stayed overnight but got up at 6:15! Then our power went out at 7:15...off to McDonalds for breakfast before preschool. Full weekend of A’s/Giants baseball games.

Update when you can. You are in my prayers.

Hello minnie56 and minniecarousel. I am doing well. I had my dr's visit last Friday. He said my liver numbers are still not low enough so still more Prednesone. He did tell me that because of the Prednesone and the infusion it makes my sugar go up, so I really have to watch my carbs. He did an examination to see how the bumps on my lymph nodes were doing and couldn't find any bumps. He kept asking me which side they were on and I kept telling him on the left and he said they weren't there. Well I'm not hiding then in my pocket. LOL So for whatever reason it was a good sign. Maybe the infusion is doing some good. I have one more treatment on August 3rd and then will get an MRI to see what is going on.

We finally had closing on the 17th! I had to sign a few papers and then Chris just had to show us what he has planned. I told him it looked great. SHHHH I like my floor plan better! heh heh heh It flowed better in my opinion. But he is so thrilled and he thanked me yet again for selling him the house. I really do wish him the best of luck and he said he wants us to come and look next weekend. That will be fun. I wasn't emotional at all at the signing. All my emotions were when I walked through the house for the last time and said goodby. Chuck felt the same way and so did Karen. We all went out to dinner to celebrate and I couldn't decide where to go and finally Jesse said Red Robin and that's where we went. It was a fun time and I'm glad it's finally over and I don't have to think about it anymore. Karen can finally relax.

Today Karen and I went out to get our nails done. She gets the full manicure and gets her toenails painted. I decided at the last minute to see if in addition to painting my toenails if he could do my fingernails too. He had time. I got this pretty peachy color and then he put this glitter on top. I SPARKLE! LOL I love it. We did some grocery shopping and had lunch and went home. Karen took a nap and I watched tv, dozing a bit here and there. It was a fun but busy day and I'm sure I will sleep well tonight.

Congrats on the closing! It must be a relief to close that chapter. I love the thought of you sparkling!!!!

Sounds like a good sign that the doctor couldn't find any bumps. We did have a beautiful week at the beach - so lucky that
it wasn't this week, I need a boat there is so much rain!

Thanks for the update ...I just like to know you're doing ok.
At last the house closed and you can move forward ..I'm sending all my prayrs that your next scan shows good improvement! Always in my thoughts and prayers..

Thanks snappyd. I am glad it is all done now and we can all relax and concentrate on our Disney trip.

I don't think we've ever had such a weird summer with so much rain. Glad you had a good week at the beach.

Thank you minnie56. I'm so lucky that I still feel great. I appreciate your prayers. I know that is helping me get through this.

I know you are not going to believe this, but I actually started getting more pictures of our April trip into Shutterfly. I do have a lot of pictures! But I should be able to finish with the pictures by next weekend and then I can start posting. Thank you all for being so patient with me.

Thank you minniecarousel and piglet50. I will warn you that the pictures aren't in order but close.

A little update. I had my doctor's appointment and my last infusion of the Optivo and the poison. I am feeling great and everything went well. Now I have to get an MRI and a CT scan and another appointment on the 31st to see what they find. If everything looks good and I just KNOW it will, I can just get the Optivo once a month.

Karen brings her laptop and I bring my Kindle. Sometimes I dose off a little. This time I was mostly awake. Karen has a friend who is a pastry chef at one of the casinos. She is also a great cook. Since she is Moroccan she makes the most amazing dishes that we scarf down as soon as she makes it for us. About once a month we order some of her great dishes. Karen asked me what I would like and I asked for two of her corn dogs. So Karen starts texting Chuck that I want to two corn dogs. With auto correct or just bad typing was, "Mom wants two c nd ms." All I heard was OMG NOOOOO. Karen told me what happened and I let out a laugh that could be heard all over the room. The man next to me had heard every word and he started laughing and put his hands over his mouth. His wife thought he was going to be sick until he told her why he was laughing. Then she started laughing so hard. They both had tears running down their faces. The wife said, "it's a good thing you didn't send that. Your son would be asking, "where did you say you were going?". That started us all laughing again. Quite a few other people were laughing too as well as most of the nurses.

It's never dull in there when Karen and I are there.

So happy you are feeling good and in such good spirits! We all could use a Karen in our lives!!!!

Can't help being in good spirits in this household. Between Karen and Chuck I am always laughing. Plus those two grandkids of mine are always good for a laugh.

So happy to read your updates!! I think sometimes we can all use a Karen in our lives. Congratulations on the closing too.

Thank you AnnaS. I'm just happy it's over. Now no more stress in our lives except for the usual. That did take a lot out of all of us. Both Chuck and Karen are miracle workers believe me.

Hi Angelrose, I an new to your thread. I have read most of your posts since the beginning. I have shed a few tears and had lots of smiles as well. I just wanted to say that you seem like a wonderful lady with a big heart. I hope to get to know you even better.
