PS at 7:10 - after eating what is a good plan for a spot for seeing illuminations?

Have one member of your party secure a spot on the bridge between UK and France and send the other to get dessert from Boulangerie Patisserie (it's awesome). By the time you finish your dessert, the fireworks should start in about 15 minutes.

Great strategy - We did this exact thing last with (with the exception of the dessert).

Perfect location at the bridge. Talked w/a CM who was directing traffic for a conference group who was slowing trickling in. She said she leaves just before the lights dim and we could fill in anywhere else once she leaves - just not where the group was sitting.

We hung back a bit and a few minutes into the show, DS & DD got to move right up to the edge of the bridge for front row viewing.

I love their expressions in the light of the fireworks!!

Last summer we ended up standing to the right of a large bolder at the edge of the water. It's right in front of Canada. We felt it was an excellent spot.

3 years ago we watched Illuminations at France right next to the champagne bar. We had a fantastic view!!

It will take you longer to leave afterwards, but just take it slow and enjoy the evening!
