I am planning our first trip to WDW and have read about the DC but wasn't sure if it is worth the money for us. We are planning on staying at ASMo for 4 nights and getting 4 day park hoppers. I called for info about it, but they won't tell me what kind of discounts they offer on what resorts or what passes, can anyone help? We don't have any other kind of discounts so I was hoping this one would work out, Thanks!

Hi, lmwe! You'll find a lot of information about the Disney Club on the Budget Board, so I'm just going to transfer this topic over there.

The savings on your resort room with the Disney Club depend on the time of year you travel to WDW. The only time the value resorts are discounted is value season. This year that is Jan 1 - Feb 14, Aug 26 - Sept 26 and Nov 4 - Dec 20. You will save 10% off the rack rate during this time. The price you would pay is $77.62 per night with the discount. This includes tax.

The discount on passes is approximately 5%. Currently, the 4-day Park Hoppers are $179.14 per adult and $143.10 per child (age 3-9) with the discount. Again, these prices include tax. The passes are discounted year-round.

Hopefully this information will help you decide if the Disney Club membership is a good idea for your family.

They do ask for your Disney Club number when you call to make reservations.
If you decide to become a member they can give you the number over the phone.

When you call to make your reservations you will have the number. If the discounts are all taken, you can take what they have at the regular rate (to ensure a room) and keep calling back everday. I did and got the discount. I saved over $400.00 for our reservation next month.

I plan to use it on passes when I get to the resort for 5% discount.

I think it's worth the savings!
Good Luck :D

I think that it's definantly worth the money. Not only on your reservations, but also at your local Disney Store and Downtown Disney. We have always saved between $600-$1000 on our res. with the package we purchase, plus the discounts at DD, this makes our card well worth it on vacation. For the price you pay, more than likely you will definantly get your money's worth, IMO. Have a great time.

All the information is great! We happen to be going the first week of Sept., so we will get the room discount! I called this afternoon and joined DC, I had read these posts and it sounds like it will definately pay for itself. We are really looking forward to our trip! :)

Hey Imwe! We will be there the 2nd week of Sept. You will love that time of year. It's still quite hot, but well worth not fightin the crowds IMO. Have a great time, and you will love the DC.
