A Princess, A Royal Room and a CRAZY Auntie EE and Uncle Goey Updated 1/12 COMPLETED

Looks like you all had a great experience at Skippers. Much better than our last time. Whatever it is Joe's soup looks great. And I love the falaffel. Looks like it has a new presentation too

I want to say his soup was some kind of squash maybe??? The falaffel did have a new presentation!!!! Skippers use to line them up in a row on a rectangular platter.8-)

What a great idea to do the dessert party on party night. We rarely see the fireworks because I like you am not waiting an hour for anything. So that just means we skip it most of the time, unless we are at California Grill. I'd love to do the dessert party one time, but I just can't get over the price tag without alcohol included :scared1:

Honestly Kari, this was the best party we've attended. I think the price tag is high too, but it's sooooo worth it to me to not have to fight the crowds, sit for an hour with nothing to do and have rude, sweaty people standing on top of me...I was actually worried that it would eat into our party time and I thought about canceling. So glad I kept it. Having Gia with us limited us to what we could ride anyway, so it's not like we were missing out on anything. We knew this going in...

So good to see Gia having so much fun at the party! Loving all of her princess pictures.

Wait until you see the Epcot pics!!!!!

You are certainly convincing. It was good to see they had some savory options. If we did it we'd likely try to make it more of a meal. Any idea if they do AP discounts?

we hopped on the carousel (Gia's favorite) and then went to meet some princesses.
So cute! I love all of the Princess pictures and Gia on the carousel!

They were minis of ALL the special Halloween desserts you could buy throughout the park, like the pumpkin cheesecake, the poison apple cupcake, the Oogie Boogie gluten-free dessert, and the Madame Leota cake
What a good idea, I wanted to try some of these and it was so hot and crowded I didn’t get to. The treats all look really yummy!

The Boo to You Parade was AWESOME (as always)! I absolutely adore it!!!
I love this parade, it is my favorite!

Thanks, Caroline!

I was so excited when I first saw the desserts!! The pumpkin cheesecake was to die for...

I love this parade, it is my favorite!

I like it too and the Christmas Party Parade.

Epcot Bound and Breakfast with the Princesses:

We slept in this morning because we were up until about 2 am with MNSSHP and all. We got up at a leisurely pace, got ready and then decided to drive over to Epcot. Like I said, I loathe the buses...We parked the car easy enough and made our way to security. Surprisingly, we went through quickly and with ease...Then, we made our way to Akershus. We had 10:30 am reservations. We were a little early and they made us wait to check in. HUH? Ok, whatever...We waited the few minutes and checked in again and were told they would call us shortly. They did and we were taken to meet our first princess of the morning, Belle. Gia was so happy!!!! We were then taken to our table. Our waiter was wonderful. He took our drink orders, explained the buffet, told us we had time to eat before the princesses started to arrive and told us he would bring us out a platter with bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, and cheesy potato casserole. He did as he said and we loaded up at the buffet with fresh fruit, pastries and yogurt. The food here was excellent!

Continued...

It was so nice to be able to eat before the princesses started to arrive. It was really good timing! Soon, we were greeted by the rest: Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, and Ariel. Ariel even held Gia's hand and walked her around the restaurant in the little parade they do every 30 minutes are so. Needless to say, this was Gia's favorite meal of the entire trip and she couldn't understand why there weren't princesses at every meal...Bless her little heart...

That breakfast looks good, we have had it booked and then canceled a couple times! We have done lunch and dinner here. Gia sure looks happy and how cute to wonder why the Princess’s aren’t at each restaurant!

I think you all are going to meet Aladdin and Jasmine because of your shirt and ride FEA!

We had reservations at Skipper Canteens. We checked in and were seated immediately, which was weird to us, because we've always had to wait a bit in the past. Our table escort even gave us some history on the restaurant and threw in a few jokes, which was also new to us...We felt like we were finally getting the full experience...:yay:This was new to us too...
Everything looks delicious!

I love the fact that I can twirl around in the garden because there's so much space (I'm not saying I do twirl, but if I wanted to, I could)...:rotfl2:
It would be fun to twirl!

After Hallowishes, we made our way to Frontierland to catch the second parade of the night. While we were waiting, Brier Rabbit noticed Gia's birthday button and had the CM's and crowd sing Happy Birthday to her (Brier Rabbit and the Country Bears were entertaining the crowd). It happened so fast, that Joe and I missed out on taking pics of the entire celebration...It was so cute and Gia LOVED it!!!!!
Oh my gosh, so sweet!

Adorable....love the sense of wonder. The pictures are absolutely breathtaking!

Who do we Meet Next and Which Attraction do we Ride First???
I think you'll meet Anna and Elsa and ride FEA!

If you wanted more of anything on this platter, could you just ask for it?

Ariel even held Gia's hand and walked her around the restaurant in the little parade

Of course she did - such a sweet little one.

Gia looks absolutely in the moment here. The kids behind her crack me up.

You would be right!!!

The food and service were both really good! We had done dinner here years ago, and I remember liking that too.

YES! They will even bring you Mickey waffles!! I know this because we asked and our waiter forgot to bring them out. When we all actually remembered, we were too full to eat them anyway.

Gia looks absolutely in the moment here.

Every time Gia would meet a princess, she would sit next to them and show them her Mickey bracelet. It was adorable!!!

Looks like you had a good party. I have always been curious about the dessert parties but never done one. It's a bit pricey getting four tickets. If I ever do a solo or adults only trip, I would definitely consider doing one. Just to avoid the crowds would be worth it.

Akershus for breakfast is one of our favourite meals. We've done it a few times. We skipped it this past trip to cut down on cost a bit. I expect it will be back on our list next time.

They are totally worth the cost, simply because I cannot tolerate the fireworks crowds. But, I agree, they are pricey!!!!

LOVE Akershus! We were pleasantly surprised. I didn't think the food was going to be good, but it was delicious!
