A Mexican Halloween and Beach Adventure

Does anyone have any experience with this port excursion?

If so, what was it like? Good, bad, mediocre? Would it be interesting for children ages 8 and 9? Is there a different, possibly better and/or cheaper beach excursion that you would recommend instead?
