I have read a lot about the $99 deal. I have a couple questions about it though........so I'll be prepared.

1. How many nights is the $99 cruise........is it optional?
2. Is it $99 a person or $99 a day??
3. Is it the same category cabin as your original sailing?
4. Do you have to take the cruise in 2002?
Thanks.

The offer will be made available to those that sail a 4 or 7 day departing in January. They will then be able to return in the fall (certain dates will apply, and will be on the coupon received in your stateroom)for $99 per person for the 3 day cruise. It is optional - but is not transferrable. You will be gaurenteed a category that will equal or exceed the category you had for January.:)

ksistersmom,
I copied the below information from www.mousesavers.com . My husband and I are booked on the 4-night January 13th cruise because of this deal. We were originally booked for 4 nights in June , but with the $99.00 deal and the Sunshine sailaway deal we will be doing 2 cruises for almost half of what we were paying for one cruise in June. last I checked there is still room available for most January sailings.

$99 Cruise Special! Here's the deal. You sail on a 4- or 7-night cruise in January 2002, and you get a 3-night cruise in the Fall of 2002 for just $99 per person! The best part is, you can book a discounted Sunshine Sailaway cruise package in January AND take advantage of the $99 cruise special! 7-night January sailing dates that qualify are 1/5/02, 1/12/02, 1/19/02 and 1/26/02 and 4-night January sailing dates that qualify are 1/6/02, 1/13/02, 1/20/02 and 1/27/02. The Fall $99 cruise can then be booked for sailings commencing 9/26/02-11/24/02 or 12/5/02-12/19/02. To book this package, please contact a Disney Specialist travel agent and ask for the $99 cruise special.

Note that the $99 cruise must be booked by February 28th.

NOTE: I checked and the cruise must be booked "before 3/30/02". Sorry for the confusion.

Can someone clarify.. is it in fact by February 28th?

Any hints on when NOT to go (hurricanes and such)
Thanks!
Kathy

There are two DIFFERENT offers in January.

One is the special RE-BOOKING offer on all cruises, for the 7-NIGHT CRUISES. This must be booked and the deposit paid ONBOARD the ship in order to get the special rates. These are GREAT RATES for the 7-night cruise and the sailing dates include:

4/20 - 6/1/02
8/31 - 11/16/02
11/30 - 12/14/02

Certain cruise dates in those windows may no longer offer the promotional pricing. THIS offer will continue past January.

The SECOND offer is the special offer just for those cruising in January. Here is the information from Dreams Unlimited:

Simply sail on a 4- or 7-night cruise in January 2002 and you'll get a 3-night cruise in the Fall (excluding Thanksgiving week) for just $99 per person (plus government taxes and fees). Here's how it works - you will receive a voucher in your stateroom at the end of your January sailing. Once your booking is made, the voucher must be mailed in to validate. The stateroom should be of equal or greater value (than the one on your January cruise) and at least one "original" guest must travel on the 3-night sailing.

The three-night cruise goes to Nassau and Castaway Cay.

I have not heard of the booking by 2/28 restriction, but I'm sure some January cruisers will be able to validate that or not. :)

When you say GREAT RATES for the 7-night........how great are we talking???? That is the cruise I am going on and that is the first special I heard about.......that must be why I got so confused!!!! I would love to take advantage of this......but, I need to have the funds available........do have a ballpark guess on the rates for the discounted 7-night???

Dana, here is the information for the onboard re-booking offer. These prices are PER ADULT, based on double occupancy:

Cat. 4 - $1529
Cat. 5 - $1329
Cat. 6 - $1179
Cat. 7 - $1029
Cat. 8 - $889
Cat. 9 - $799
Cat. 10 - $729
Cat. 11 - $699
Cat. 12 - $699

Under age 3 - $119
Ages 3-12 - $349
All other - $549

The pricing above does NOT include the government taxes and fees, which are:
Western Caribbean - $44.77 per person ($15 less for under 6)
Eastern Caribbean - $42.35 per person ($15 less for under 6)

These are the best current rates available for the 7-night cruise dates listed. :)

Wow, Michelle.....we paid less than that for this trip........so, it doesn't seem like much of a bargain!!!! Oh well, we'll settle for the $99 per person three nighter I suppose. Thanks for the info.

Well, the January cruises were HIGHLY discounted, so I'm not surprised. But these are the best rates (so far!) for the 7-night cruises for these dates. :)

Enjoy your fall cruise!
