I'm very interested in the FREE online classes. Which ones have you taken?
TIA
I have taken classes from allison.com simple registration and no cost unless you want the certificate then it can be a bit pricey (like 125/class). Fortunately, my school just wants to see the completed course form, so really cheap and easy for me!

2020 Goals Week 52 Update and Final Anaylsis

Financial:
✔WDW Vacation fund 50/week
2700 / 2600 Goal met and slightly exceeded! One of the easiest to do as it was just set and go!

✔DVC Fund
2500 / 2500 Goal met! Only want to purchase a DVC if I can put at least half down at time of purchase! So this year was a start towards that goal (looking for at least $10,000, so still a few years away!

✔Other Travel Fund
1000 / 1000 Goal met. was easy to get the cash as from March on we did not go anywhere :(

✔House Fund
3000 / 3000 Goal met. This fund is to pay cash for home maintance/repairs/upgrades. With this we cash flowed new roof for front porch and a few other small misc things as well.

✔Corvette fund
2000 / 2000 Goal met. Easy set and go! Still need a boatload of money but have to start someplace!

✔Roth
2000 / 2000 Goal met Easy set and go!

Eat out three times per month or less
42 / 36 Goal fail but still way down from the previous year, still a win, especially when it comes to money saved!

Cut Discretionary Spending 20% Goal fail, we adopted a 2 yo beagle in April, needed a new AC unit in May, my laptop crapped out in April during home teaching, the vaccumm died in April as well, not to mention the increase in cost of food items this year! Next year will be better! We did track all of our expenses this year so seeing where the money went is very easy so we can make adjustments next year!

Continue to bring lunch to work everyday
117 / 180 Goal fail but only because the school building was closed and I instructed from home from March until returning in September!

✔Run annual credit reports
Goal met, I try to do this at about the same time I file taxes each year!

Life:
✔Read 40 Books
67 / 40 Goal met and exceeded! Had more lesiure time time with out being able to travel anywhere for school vacations or summer break.

Start learning a foreign language
0 / 100 days Goal fail! Just could not get started on this at all! I guess it was not really that important to me in the first place, it just felt like something I needed. maybe in a few years time I will revisit this idea.

✔✔✔✔Less Procrastination (if it takes 15 minutes or less to do, just get it done!)
107 / 24 Goal met and exceeded. I have found I tend to procrastinate a lot so I made the effort to try and not do that this year. It seems to have worked well!

✔Complete Hand off of community program to new Director(s) by the end of February
One of the easiest and hardest things that I did this year! The easiest because I needed more time in my life for the wife and I (Boy, did we get that this year!) I also needed to releive some pressure on stress, the time commitment (it was like working a second full time job for 9 months of the year!), How to fund the program each year through fundraising, dealing with parents of participants that always say "let me know what you need" and then when on the rare occasion you ask it becomes total silence from them! Also, the hardest as I am leaving a program that I built from the ground up over an 8 year period! Lots of time and effort put into it to get to where it is today! Also, not working with the kids every Saturday has been hard (but I have adjusted!) It also feels like I was never involved, as the new directors have not asked for anything from me what so ever! I did tell them that I would be more than happy to answer any questions that come up. Although it was implied that they could do a better job at it than me (and maybe they can) so they don't need anything from me because they are better? Just to quote Elsa "Let it go!" I realize that I gave it to new people and I have no say in it now so stand back and cheer the kids on from the sidelines when I can!

Professional:
✔Make a conscious effort to apply leadership skills/ideas
24 / 24 Goal met, being a leader/union rep at work is a thankless job! Will just leave it at that.

Keep classroom supplies and desk area organized
21 / 35 Goal fail but only because the school building was closed from mid march until reopening in September

✔Take 8 free on-line classes
9 / 8 Goal met and slightly exceeded!

Adventure:

✔✔✔✔Spend more time outdoors
243 / 52 Goal met and blown away! Thanks to Covid I was able to spend lots of time outside this year! When the weather was good spent about 3 hours a day outside!

The house goals above were more a checklist to complete as money and time were available together! Everything that was completed was done through "cash" that was put aside through out the year! So the fact that some were able to be complete was something!

Overall a very productive year even considering the circumstances, looking forward to see what can be accomplished next year. Currently working on next years goals right now; some of the same one's will return, some will be discarded (looking at you foreign language!), some will be modified, and some new one's added

What an incredible list of goals accomplished! I'm so proud of your determination. You don't strike me as the type that sits around enjoying Netflix (like me). I am truly inspired by your ambition and will be planning my goal list for 2021 this week. Maybe not quite so lengthy.
I like how you hit every area too (house, professional, personal, etc), then broke it down even more specifically.

Just out of curiosity, how old are you? I'm wondering if this is more of a 35-50's thing. Anyway, I'm very impressed! GREAT JOB!!!

I do like to occasionally binge watch somethings (The Mandolorian, for example)

Having a goals list like this really helps me to stay focused

I started started setting goals at age 35 when I started teaching (late to the game!) and got really serious with goal setting at age 45 but have crossed the age 50 threshold now!
