2017 DISNEYLAND RESORT HALLOWEEN TIME / MICKEY'S HALLOWEEN PARTY THREAD!

I was looking through the Shop Parks App this morning and saw that four of the Mickey's Halloween Party/HalloweenTime shirts are available for order (some sizes limited). Given how fast things ship from the Shop Parks App, I'm not sure they'd arrive in time for many folks to wear them to the parks, but it's something to consider if you're going later in the season or can't make it to the parks.

Thank you! Will look for them in the park in a couple of weeks, but buying one online just in case!

For anyone who went to the party last night, did Disney launch the Halloween Screams fireworks? We're going on Friday and I'm concerned they'll cancel it if it's too smoky. TIA!

Has anyone stayed at a resort hotel and seen if they are selling Mickeys Halloween party ticket? Last year they did of people staying there. I am thinking I am out of luck for 10/20 party.

Have you tried calling the ticket line directly? (If you haven't, call ASAP!) Posters here have reported being able to get tickets by phone to parties that were sold out online. Also, you could try going to the ticket booths. Some people have gotten tickets day of at the booths. Only the 10/13 party was reported to be 100% sold out as of earlier this month. You can contact your on site hotel to ask if they are selling the party tickets to their guests like they did last year.

Smoke isn't usually what cancels the fireworks. Usually the fireworks get cancelled because of wind conditions (speed and/or direction).

Hi Everyone
My daughter and her boyfriend really want to Mickey's party on October 20 but they waited too long to get tickets. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how they may get tickets? Are their packages, or anything?
Your help is much appreciated.

Jean

See my post to Angie1437 above and also in your other thread.

Ok, I’ve read most of this thread—maybe I missed it— is photopass included in the Halloween ticket?

I will be going two more times next week to MHP. I will post pictures from 4 out of 5 days I went. I didn't dress up last Friday night and I didn't take pictures. I just focused on going to the treat trails as many times as I could

I went to the party last night! I had so much fun! I'm kind of sad that it went by so fast. I'm going to list everything and some random tips.

Getting There- I only did the party, not admission plus the party, so I left LA around 2 pm. We got to the park at 3:15ish (Thank you traffic). Parking wasn't bad at all. It was organized, but you can tell that many of the party goers were starting to roll in. By the time we went through security, tram, and got to the gate, it was about 3:55. They had everyone with a Mickey Halloween Ticket to enter the Special Events entrance. The lines were a little long, but went fast. Once you get through the turn entrance, you get your wristband right away as well as the little trick or treat bag. I highly recommend that if you want to go through all of the treat trails to bring your own bag. The one they give you is for sure not big enough.

Eating: I noticed a lot of the party guests were eating. We did the same thing. We ate at Cafe Orleans, and were seated before our reservation time. The service was very fast! It might have been the fastest restaurant I've ever eaten at lol. When we finished eating it was about 5:40.

Rides: This was the tricky part. Since we didn't come during regular admission, we missed the times for fastpasses and maxpass. After eating we decided to suck it up and do a ride before the party began at 7:00, so we waited 75 minutes for Soarin. As someone who is used to using Fastpass all the time, waiting this long was BRUTAL lol. We got off the ride around 7:15, and tried doing Radiator Springs single rider lane but that was 60 minutes and Standby was 150. We gave up and went to DLR for the party lol. By this time DCA was crazy packed! You could barely walk. I'm sure the regular guests had just left DLR to come over since the party began.

The Party: We did Space Mountain, Indiana Jones, and Star Tours and only waited like 10 minutes for each. We watched the Fireworks which were awesome! That Orb was so cool! If you want a good view, make sure you aren't near any trees. The castle looked so cool with the projections. The treat trails were pretty fun. The CM are good at giving you certain candy if you request it. Plus they have snacks if you don't want candy. We didn't watch the parade but when I got glimpses of it, I saw Ursula, Ratcliff? (the mean guy from Pocahontas), Captain Hook, and Jack & Sally. Don't quote me on this, but I think I saw Maleficent by the front entrance near the train for pictures. Again, don't quote me lol.

Tips:
1. Bring your own Trick or Treat Bag (if you want to)
2. If you are waiting around during the 3 hour window, you can try doing rides in DCA. The wait times are long, but you can get a couple in before the party begins. I would've done that but we had dinner reservations.
3. If you want to try a sit down restaurant, this is also a good time to try too.
4. Oogie Boogie buckets are sold out resort-wide (wahhh) :( lol
5. THERE ARE PUMPKIN SPICE CHURROS!!!!
6. Coming in later in the day, there is only one side of trams working instead of two sides. So it made the tram wait a little long.

Thank you!! We have been to DL quite a few times but this is our first time going to the party and for some reason the logistics are making me nervous. haha. How many treat trails would you say we need to do to fill a regular (not DL-provided) size treat bag- maybe smaller grocery bag size? We have little kids and I don't want to spend all my time getting candy, but I also know they'll feel ripped off if we don't bring some home.

Hmmm, I only did about 3 treat trails, but each trail has a few stations of candy within them. I would say if you do all of the trails, you'd fill about half? I looked at some party goers last night who went to all the trails and their bags were about half full. You can also go through them more than once so that can fill them more. Those reusable grocery bags would work well. Even a pumpkin candy holder would work. The bags they give you are just so tiny lol.

Oh! One more thing I forgot to mention. The castle and fantasyland were closed after the fireworks. I am not sure if it was closed the whole time or just for the show. I am not sure when or if it was going to reopen. That could effect people who want to do fantasyland rides.

I'm so excited!!:cool1::dancer::bounce: I bought two costumes from a regional production of Cats. I will be able to wear them at MHP next week. I will be getting one that is a full costume on Monday and the partial costume I would think on Wednesday or Thursday at the latest.

My family will be there Halloween week w/ tix to the party on the Big Day. I am wondering if it's really worth our time to bother going to DCA on the party day itself. We'll have the first couple of days to check out the new decorations, so is there really anything we'll be missing out on if we just head over to DL?

Fantasyland usually reopens about 15-30 minutes after fireworks end (after they go through the safety checks). The CMs usually allow guests to form a line for Peter Pan before it re-opens and then they escort the line to the attraction when they're given the all clear.

Hi folks, so I'm going to the party on 10/20 (YAY!); what is the best way to enter with the least hassle/lines and also get first shot at whatever is left on the maxpass? Monorail? DCA? Thanks in advance!

This is a good question that I am also curious about. I'm wondering if they do anything special during the party hours or after were allowed to enter the park for the party as opposed to a regular park day. I assumed nothing special and was going to check out CDL the day we arrive which is 10/19. Only 4 more days!! Can't wait!!

Last year we did the parks in the morning and the party that night and were exhausted. If I was to do it again I would definitely not go to the parks in the morning on a party day rather I would just go in at 3 PM when the park opens for party guests. I don’t think DCA does anything special on party days...

You won’t need Maxpass during the party, lines are much shorter! DCA isn’t included in your party ticket so unless you have a park hopper for that day or an AP you won’t be able to go there.
