1st week in June, How crowded and do parks close

We will be at WDW 1st week in June. This will be our first time staying off-site. What are the chances of the parks closing due to crowds. Also was wondering if this is when the crowds really start picking up and all the parks are packed. We have only been in April and May. Thanks!!!!

Hi there! We will be at Disney World at the same time and the first week is the tail end of Memorial Day weekend (so Monday will be VERY crowded) and the end of the week is Gay Days (Saturday June 5th is Magic Kingdom and Sunday June 6th is Epcot). As long as you don't go to those specific parks on those days, the crowds shouldn't be that bad. I understand that school starts finishing up in the 3rd and 4th weeks so crowds should be manageable during the 1st week.

compared to what you're used to; the first week in june might seem more crowded than you're used to....like the OP said, try to avoid the MK on saturday the 5th(gay days and saturdays are always a zoo there) and you should be alright....we've been during this time many times and have always found it to be quite manageable...crowds increse as the month wears on...especially from about the 3rd week on...

We have done it then for three summers and the crowds are manageable during this time. It only gets heavier around the third week. Get there early, do fast pass when there is a long wait, and take a break in the afternoon when it is so miserably hot. The park hours are still not open that late during this time, so plan accordingly. Personally, I love going during this time; the thing I can't stand is the heat and humidity. We are use to the humidity here, but I am sure its worse there.
When we went in 2000, it got up too 102 degree's a couple of times. We just left the parks and came back later. Thank you all so much for the info. We are so excited about our upcoming trip
