1900 Park Fare dinner without PS?

I've been trying to get a PS at 1900 Park Fare for May 3 with no luck (I've been calling for about 3 weeks and its booked). I keep calling hoping to catch a cancellation. Has anyone gone to the restaurant without a PS? If so, do you get the flashy thingy that lights up when it's your turn? Seems like if we had that the wait wouldn't be too bad if we could wander around a bit. I'll be taking my DD6 and DS4.

Thanks for any info.

How many people are in your party?

I have a reservation for a party of 4 for Sunday May 2nd that I am going to be cancelling - soon. This is a DINNER reservation with Cinderella.

Let me know - maybe I can change the PS over to your name if this would work for you.

We are a party of four and are looking for the dinner. Do they let you change names? That would be great. I was surprised that I couldn't get either day (5/3 was 1st choice but I asked about 5/2 every time I've called and both have been booked).

Lucky you! I have been trying for a month to get in, for our trip next week! No go. My 2yo dd won't understand why we can't eat with Cindy this time! I dread telling her already.:(

If you dont have a PS I would suggest finding out when the restaurant opens and try to walk in at that time. If you are going during a holiday or anytime around 7pm this will not work. But your chances are good otherwise.

Normally, I would do that. But, I hate to have her all "princessed" up and then be turned away!

We used someone else's PS for a meal last May. I just had the PS # and the person's name. It worked fine. I was told that as long as it wasn't aPS that required a CC then it was fine to do. We had no problems and this was even a PS in the park before opening.

To answer your initial question - last week they were sold out. They would not take any names for a wait list (the family was very disappointed). It was very busy. You could try calling the day before from your room to check for cancellations.

Sorry this took me so long to get back to post on this thread as I usually only access the dis at work and I only work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

stacieps - I forgot to mention that it is for 8:00 PM would you still be interested in it? If you are post here and then I will PM you the particulars.

disneyfan551 - I am so sorry that I can't help you out and I hope you get a PS while you are there. I know how hard it is to get and how dissapointing it is for your DD not to be able to eat with the Princess. I have gone through that myself!! I ray that it all works out for you.

Wow, I had no idea this was a hard dinner to book! Back in January, on the spur of the momment I decided I wanted to meet Prince Charming :teeth:, but I had no time for a PS. So I did exactly what Grumpy72 said - I went there right as it opened (I think at 4:30) and got seated right away. The place wasn't busy at that hour, but got busier later. It was great dinner, as there were 5 characters walking around - Cindy, Perla, Suzy, Prince, and Fairy Godmother in the lobby. Food was good, too! :)

Hope you can somehow get your PS! :)

ridisneylovers - thank you for the offer, but I think we'll pass on the PS for 5/2. We already have a couple of other PSs, so I think we'll just see how things go. Thanks again.

stacieps - I hope it all works out for you!! Enjoy your trip.

disneyfan551 - I will now offer this to you. Again it is for Sunday, May 2, 2004 - party of 4 - 8:00 pm Dinner at 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella. Would you be interested in this before I call and cancel?

Please let me know.

Lisa

RIdisneylovers... Thank you VERY much for the offer! And, I would have jumped at the chance, but we are leaving early Sunday morning May 2 to return home... :(

Thanks again, I really appreciate your thoughtfulness!

disneyfan551 - you are welcome. Sorry I couln't help you out. I would take the suggestion of getting there when it first opens and see if they would take a walk up. Maybe call an hour or two before to see if that is an option so your kids won't be dissappointed if turned away.

Best of luck and have a wonderful vacation - I am sending Pixie Dust your way *****!!
