    Food & Wine dates announced!

We arrive on Jun 18, the day after Test Track closes...and no festival. If the crowds are lower, I'll take it....

A different way to do Disney… should I?

I think my family would get way to frustrated if we planned out days in too much detail. We still want to accomplish things, but need flexibility. Our strategy has always been...each person in the family/trip group gets to pick one thing as their 'must do' for the visit, and one must-have...

    Dining reservation headcount

Our ADR window opened up Friday, and I have a party of 6. Our Dreams travel agent handled all the reservations for us. She targeted our Topolino's request first, and we hoped that since our desired day was the fourth day after arrival (technically day 64) we might have luck...and she...

    Today was ADR day!!

Huge shout-out to my Dreams Travel Agent Traci who worked magic, and got all the reservations we'd hoped to have for our June trip, including the incredibly tough Topolino's Terrace! In the past I have been the big Disney planner but this trip, I have way too much going on with work...and so...

    Arrival Day

When my daughter and I did a three-night trip last fall, we landed (from different departure cities) around 9:30am and used this first day for Disney Springs. We set up a lunchtime reservation at Wine Bar George and after picking up our car, headed to DS to shop and just enjoy our first day...

Airline reward tips? - Summer 2025 Mediterranean Trip

I have used Amex points before on airfare, but never 'transferred' the points to a mileage program. I feel like there is more flexibility that way. I would reserve and book air on Amex's site, using a combination of cash and points to pay for the ticket. What subsequently happens is that the...

New Experience - Quick Solo Visit

Good point - totally forgot about the single rider line! I'm looking forward to wandering...and just being...in the magic. I plan to pace myself to make it all day - it will probably be crowded since it's a Friday, but that's OK. No one to corral or keep track of, and I can do my thing.

New Experience - Quick Solo Visit

New experience for me...I will be in Orlando for a business trip in May, and decided to tack on one extra night so I can go to Epcot and see the Flower and Garden Festival. I've never been to a park on my own before, and I'm excited about the experience of being able to wander where I want...

Rental car pick up wait times?

Budget Fast Break members don't wait in any line (except for your first rental, so they can get your driver's license information in the system). My trip last fall, I walked straight out to the garage, found my folder on the Fast Break board and headed to the car. Maybe 30 minutes total from...

Non DVC member booking at a DVC resort a year in advance

As others have said, you have to wait until after the 11 month mark has passed before the cash rooms will start to show up. We knew we wanted to try for a 2BR and separate studio at BLT for a family trip this June - I had my DU agent first book us three Tower Theme Park View rooms so we knew...

Disney after hours vs Deluxe extended hours

Happy to see this - just bought AH tickets for Studios during our June trip, mostly for the 'big kids'. Hubby and I will be sticking with our two-year-old granddaughter that night so the older ones can enjoy HS. There are a lot of heavy-hitter rides there that they'd have a tough time getting...

"Official" 2024 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

The dates for 2024 in the first post - are those really for 2024? When I went to Disney's site to verify it just says to 'check back later' for information.

Living in a home during renovation

A few years ago we had two full bathrooms in our house remodeled...down to the studs...and for us the key to keeping the home spaces neat was a good contractor. We gave them the garage to stage materials and keep all of their tools, both while they worked and overnight so they didn't have to...

Hoping to get some clarification on cancelling special event tickets.

Trust me, Disney IS re-selling the ticket. I'm sure they track what tickets are 'cancelled' and credited back, tossing that admission back in the 'for sale' bucket. They are not losing out on anything...in fact gaining cash flow because they already have the $$ for the cancelled ticket guest A...

    Jollywood Nights-Hearing Some Negative Feedback...

That's not good advice. It is a perfect way to discourage Disney from working with anyone who is looking for a refund. The ticket was sold as non-refundable. Dispute the charge, and all Disney has to do is present the terms and conditions that you agreed to at time of purchase and you will...

2023 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Information and Planning Thread

Our first visit was way back on 2000, and it was a time when I knew nothing about F&W and with little kids, we didn't spend a lot of time exploring anything. This year my daughter and I went in September and we had a blast - maybe because we didn't experience the other events that haven't...

Shipping items home from Disney AKL

its very easy to ship from almost anywhere on Disney property. I made purchases in Disney Springs, at Epcot, and at the Contemporary and had no issues setting up the shipping right at the register. As a previous poster said, if you want to combine items you've purchased in different locations...

Anyone else had issues with Visitor Toll Pass?

First time user in September and it worked perfectly for me. Upon activation, it charged $10 to my account to cover tolls. At the end of the trip, I got a statement telling me I'd used $4.32 of tolls, and was due a $5.78 credit. Credit came through yesterday. Would definitely use again!

    "Official" 2023 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party - Let's Get Spooky!

We got to the gates around 5pm. There was a large crowd at the party-only gate, and we breezed right through the main gate area for regular guests. We walked back to Tomorrowland and it took about two minutes to get the wristband.

EPCOT Food & Wine Festival - Best Booths

We liked everything we tasted, though next time we'd pass on the beignet from France. It was just OK - not quite what we expected. These are dishes that stood out for us Hawaii: Kalua Pork Slider - lots of flavor; the chutney was the perfect amount of sweetness against the sauce China...
