    Disney Resorts Reopening

for what its worth, we have reservations for July 15-17. We have had these for some time, as all six of our other dates have come and gone. Panic set in when I read the announcement that resorts would not be open on July 11. I called twice and got two different CMs. Both told me that that...

WDW COVID-19 Operational Changes- Reservation System-Rope Drop Procedures

We are Florida residents and pass holders. Our June trip was just cancelled along with HDDR and all money was credited back, the same as our April plans. We are still hopeful our July trip will be a go. I called last week to add a night to our June trip when the CM asked me to hold for a...

WDW COVID-19 Operational Changes- Reservation System-Rope Drop Procedures

Not useful for passholders either. I just got off the phone after several hours+ on hold, because a CM on chat told me passholders were included, but only by calling. Just put out $1500 for passes, not able to spend another $600 to get free dining. No compensation for passholders.

    BBQ Choices

Love Polite Pig. The brisket is so delicious as are all the sides. We love the roasted brussel sprouts. If you enjoy a good old-fashioned, they make a sweet tea version that is very good.

Cinderella Castle Makeover (March through Summer 2020)

We are headed to WDW on tues. Taking my Mom as a surprise trip( she hasn’t been since there was only one park). She is 82 and she wants to see the castle. Are there any signs of scrim going up? It will be a disappointment that will be tough to handle for her. I need a heads up to soften the blow.

Is anyone else having trouble with My Disney Experience now?

H mmm, I can see my plans, reservations and fast passes, just can’t do online check in. Not a huge problem, just that we like to go directly to the parks and wait on a text that says our room is ready.

Advice on service dogs ... what to do?

I can speak to your plane travel on Southwest. I do not have a service animal, but did need to help settle our folks on two recent flights. We boarded early with a young lady who was training a service dog. We were asked to allow her to sit next to the wall in the first row of seats, so the...

    Favorite QS in World Showcase

Tangerine Cafe, especially if it’s warm out, it’s very shareable.

    Chefs de France experiences?

Chefs is a favorite of ours, we honestly have never had a bad meal there in 15 years. We have had slow service on two occasions, however, the restaurant was very full and we were in no hurry. We always request a table on the glass porch. It is really beautiful out there in the evening.

    Gondolas opening 29 Sep

We were really hopeful the would open by Sept 15th. We are staying at Pop and planning our dining around the route. Oh well, maybe they will get them opened sooner. To those worried over 9 min. with a screaming child, it’s been our experience that can happen anywhere in Disney. Ever notice...

New magic band options available again

I tried many times to get the white one with castle. Refused to go to checkout. All of a sudden it worked. Just received in mail, love it!! I don’t know what I did right, but keep trying.

Looking for info on Gondola system.

Thank you everyone! All very interesting info. I’m so excited about this, we often stay at Pop. Going to dinner In Epcot is tough because of the long walk from the front of park. Entering thru International Gateway will be so much easier.

    Disney spring recommendations?

We love Polite Pig, eat there every visit. The BBQ is yummy, but the sides are phenomenal! We get one order of meat and a bunch of the different sides. Sometimes we get 2 orders of crispy brussel sprouts with whiskey caramel, they are that good.

Looking for info on Gondola system.

trying to find out if you will be able to ride a complete circle around. For instance, if we want to leave from our resort and go all the way around and back, will we have to get off at each station, stand in line for the next section. Is the route posted anywhere?

    Top Cocktails!

We enjoy a cocktail at the Outer Rim in the Contemporary. Our favorite is the Long Island Iced Tea. Not uncommon but made very well, and if you ask they will bring you a nice spicy nut mix, complimentary.

Disney food you miss the most...

so many things have gone away over the years. The Potato Wrapped Snapper from Flying Fish, The Tuna Oscar from Kona, French Toast Bread MS Bakery, Beet and Goat Cheese salad at Sunshine Seasons and the whole dining experience in the castle before the current style.

Kind of a strange question about Outer Rim Lounge

We enjoyed some fabulous cocktails at Outer Rim and the server brought us some delicious spicy nut mix. We left and DH mentioned later how he wished he more of those nuts. Has anyone sampled these and know where they may be available?

Fresh popcorn anywhere other than the parks?

Love that others have traditions in the parks. We always get a caramel corn in Germany, sit on a bench and enjoy. If we don’t it just doesn’t feel right.

    Victoria and Alberts abridged menu

We did not experience the new menu, but we did have the wine pairings. The wine was delicious and a wonderful compliment to the meal. With that said, we are rather light weights when it comes to alcohol. We were staying in the main building of the hotel or I think we would have had a...
