Disneyland with a One Year Old

I took my son when he was 14m and it was a very fun trip, but definitely different! I left the diaper bag in the stroller, but took a small crossbody with valuables with me on the rides. Our stroller sometimes got moved by CMs, but I had no problems with anyone taking anything. I've heard of...

    ILL on MMRR missing cue?

Our group of 12 people rope dropped Rise and then watched the wait times for MMRR in the app. Most of us managed to catch it with a 30 min wait, while a few people ended up buying the ILL because they had to leave early to catch an evening flight home and were trying to fit in as much as...

    ILL on MMRR missing cue?

The queue is vastly different between WDW and DLR (I've ridden in both places), and the DLR version is very cute and fun to walk through! If you do get ILL you will walk past the edges of parts of it and get a glimpse of things, but yes, you will skip most of it. If you are a fan of Mickey short...

    Magicband+ pickup at hotel?

I found the Park Vue staff to be very helpful when we stayed, so hopefully they can assist with the ECV delivery and make your arrival go smoothly! I love to travel but it's definitely exhausting. I'm taking 3 teens to DLR in two weeks and we'll be landing in Long Beach at 9:10pm, so by the...

    Magicband+ pickup at hotel?

I have stayed at Park Vue before, and honestly if I were you I would check into the hotel and just walk over to GCH/World of Disney. It will take you all of 5 or 10 minutes to walk over - Park Vue is right at the Harbor crosswalk to Disneyland, and it's just a short walk through the esplanade to...

    Genie Plus on app?

I think you won't see it until you've linked your tickets in the app. I have tickets & reservations for end of April and we added G+ when we bought the tickets. I got my etickets fairly quickly and linked them into the app as soon as I had the codes. When I go to the "Tip Board" there is a blue...

Mobile order without linked credit card?

Thank you! Good to know that either one will work. People are giving them gift cards to use on the trip and some are sending digital cards while others are handing them the physical cards. I wanted to make sure they would be able to use whatever they have to get their food as needed.

Mobile order without linked credit card?

A related question - I will be taking two teens who are not related to me with us at the end of April. They each have their own Disney account and we've linked everyone's tickets for LL purposes. Because they are paying for their food/souvenirs with their own money, I can't have them logged in...

Ideas for gift bags for teens heading to DLR

Thank you! I'm really having tons of fun with this. It's been a rough year for both of them and I love that I can use my love of Disneyland to spoil them a little. I'm super excited because another friend has unexpectedly donated to the trip fund so now they're going to each have enough souvenir...

What rides/shows are using a virtual que in Disneyland and DCA?

World of Color VQ opens at noon according to the app, and MMRR "may offer a virtual queue throughout the day as needed."

Ideas for gift bags for teens heading to DLR

Just wanted to do an update and say thank you again to everyone for your ideas and for those who contributed directly to the girls! Today we had our pre-trip planning meeting and I was able to give all 3 teens their treat bags and we walked through the outline of the trip. They were so excited...

Table Service Recs for the non burger, pizza and nugget crowd

I have similar favorites to yours at WDW, and at DLR I find that the quick service usually has more variety than the table service (which seems to be flipped from my WDW experiences). In DLP, Galaxy's Edge of course has a lot of interesting options at both Docking Bay 7 and Ronto Roasters. We...

    A day in Downtown Disney

I had a similar situation many years ago. I don't know if any of these things are back post-covid, but we started with a late brunch character meal like you (although ours was over at Pixar/Paradise hotel). That got us until about noonish, and then we found the little room where they had Mickey...

    Disneyland Restaurant Musts?

At DCA we like Lamplight Lounge and Pyms best. Over at DLR we love Bengal BBQ and always have to stop there. Ronto Roasters and Docking Bay in Galaxy's Edge also rank high on our list. We also always get a Dole Whip, Mickey Pretzel, and a Mickey ice cream bar at some point in our visits!

MagicBand+ designs at World of Disney?

Thank you everyone! The gift giver decided he will give the recipients Disney gift cards with a printout about MB+ and we’ll plan on heading to DTD on arrival evening to get the bands. I think they’ll enjoy picking out bands in person!

MagicBand+ designs at World of Disney?

Are there more or different MB+ designs in the Downtown Disney shops than are available online? A friend is wanting to buy some as gifts (long story), but only a couple of the designs available on the ShopDisney website are appealing to the recipients. He's wondering if he should just give them...

Tell me truly about Oga’s Cantina…

I am not a big Star Wars fan, but I have been twice with friends who are full Star Wars geeks and who don't drink alcohol either. For me, it's a one and done - I enjoyed going just to see it, but I'd be fine never stopping in again. For my friends, they thought it was fun and were glad to try it...

Ideas for gift bags for teens heading to DLR

Great ideas! You reminded me that I have a cookie cutter that my DS used to call the "hidden mickey" because of its shape, and I could easily make them Mickey shaped rice krispie treats and/or cookies. That would be fun for the whole group that's going - there's 8 confirmed from our...

    Desert Inn coffee maker?

Thanks everyone! Looks like it's a standard small drip machine, so I know what kind of coffee to bring with me. I know I can just head to the breakfast room, but I have a strong coffee preference and like to have my own on hand. I sometimes bring my own travel press, but I'm trying to pack light...

    Desert Inn coffee maker?

Do the rooms at Desert Inn have a coffee maker? I’m not seeing it listed on the in-room amenities. Has anyone stayed there recently who can confirm what kind of coffee maker they have if there is one? TIA!
