We always take advantage and typically ride Space Mountain over and over until that hour is up. That makes it worthwhile for us.

We've stayed there the past two Januarys and are staying again in January 2019. Prior to that, we'd stayed at the Del Sol. The only issue we've had in our two stays was the water pressure in the shower. Staff was super friendly, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable.

I don't know about BTMRR but that has been a story on Matterhorn for years. Don't know for sure if it has ever been confirmed or if it's just an urban legend.

One other thing to note is that the parks won't be open as late, either. After the long, late hours during the holidays, I think we've had 9pm closing times our past three January visits. Of course this is during the week so weekends will have later closings. We've had sun and rain and...

I've been evacuated from Monster's Inc. and Buzz Lightyear. On Monsters, when the ride stopped and the lights came up, we immediately started taking photos. It was a few minutes later before there was an announcement saying that taking photos was not allowed. Oops! We were walked off of that...

According to their website, the John Wayne Airport Shuttle Association runs shuttles until 11pm. We started using them when we had a flight in after 10pm and they were the only shuttle we could find that was still running. http://www.snashuttle.com/index.html

We walked from our hotel on Harbor Blvd. to the one on State College on our arrival/non-park day. It was probably less walking than we do on a typical park day. Of course, from the GC it'd be a bit longer...

Nope. We arrived on the 8th and our first day in the parks was the 9th and no walls. Morning of the 10th, the hub in front of the castle was walled off. Morning of the 11th, the town square was walled off. Glad we missed the walls running down Main Street...and that we took photos at the hub...
