Trial Club Level Fastpass+ Purchase Program Planning & Discussion

Hi -- cross posting over her at the suggestion of GADisneyDad14 to ask about Swan and Dolphin. Has anyone been able to identify a list of which rooms at swan and dolphin qualify for this benefit? There seem to be an awful lot of room categories at those two resorts.

Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

I'm very sorry that my search skills stink. Does anyone know where there is a listing of the room categories at the Swan and Dolphin that qualify for the extra fastpass purchase option?

    Pandora at night

We backtracked to Pandora after Rivers of Light and it was pretty cool at night. You don't get the detail, but it's interesting. Rivers of Light on the other hand, well that was underwhelming!

"Official" 2018 Disney After Hours (DAH) Thread (Now Closed, see New 2019 Thread)

GADisneyDad14 -- great job with the thread. As can be seen by 130 pages this is really an event that people are passionate about and this thread has been on target and helpful to all of us.

Disney Resorts to start charging parking fees....

Right, the idea is not make prices look low, but just artificially lower than what they are. This is simply a disguised price increase. That's all it is. Disney has decided that people are more likely to book at $450 plus $30 for parking, then to pay $480. Now, of course, I'm way...

Disney Resorts to start charging parking fees....

I think the idea is they will pay more and those who stay at moderates will pay less before they lose customers. It’s just a Machiavellian money grab. No more or less. Travel companies have learned that ancillary fees are very profitable. People will pay $375 plus $25 in parking more readily...

Disney Resorts to start charging parking fees....

We recently had a trip to AKL. It is neat there, but given the hassle of Disney transportation, we drove everywhere. My immediate thought was that with Swan and Dolphin and some neighborhood resorts now having extended fastpass timing, the hundreds of extra dollars really wasn’t worth it, but...

"Official" 2018 Disney After Hours (DAH) Thread (Now Closed, see New 2019 Thread)

Just posting for posterity and next year I guess. We did the 3/8 DAH. It was due to be our only MK day on the trip, so I ended up using one day of an old no-expire ticket, plus the DAH ticket. We also did the desert fireworks. I shudder to think what this single day cost me. The original...

I love credit cards so much!

Here's a way to look at it. If you do cash and points, you're essentially purchasing your own points. That is, by paying $75, you're saving 6,000 chase points, which is the same as essentially purchasing 6,000 chase points for $75. Except it's not really $75. Actually, it's $84.38, because...

I love credit cards so much!

Sorry if this has already been posted, but apple pay worked for me for this quarter's chase freedom 5x UR bonus. Between my spouse and I, we have three freedom cards that we use solely for the 5x bonus opportunities. We could have gone the traditional route and just charged gas stations and...

    „Nickel and Diming“ questions

From what I've read on this issue, this is not allowed under official RCI policy, but many have reported being able to get away with it.

Not being able to get the lanyards at Liberty Square this time is a real bummer, but at least people didn't need to leave and re-enter. Seems like it would be relatively simple to accommodate folks already in the park, but I suppose it's just not a priority. It's going to be interesting...

    Confused about My Time Dining

Apparently, Anthem and Ovation show “at your leisure” in the calendar even when you book a specific time but if your confirming email has the specific time it will be honored. I have no personal experience with this but have read about it.

    „Nickel and Diming“ questions

Yeah, no question here. I really don't know how Disney does it, especially during school times. But, boy they have their market. More power to them. One other thing that I noticed when I switched over from DCL to NCL (I've now done 3 DCL and 4 NCL) is that another extra "cost" -- sort of --...

    Disney Gift Card Deals

Here you go. We now have several non Disney cruises under our belts, but this is actually a nice reminder of where our heads were immediately after our first non-DCL cruise. I think some of this has to do with age of kids and stuff -- there was a time where a non-disney cruise would not have...

    Disney Gift Card Deals

We did three DCL cruises from Florida and loved them, but when we decided to try Europe, we just could not justify the cost difference. We went on NCL Epic and loved it and while Disney is great we would never go back now. I just can’t justify the cost difference. Somewhere on these boards...

    „Nickel and Diming“ questions

The problem is that I don’t really know how hard it will be to book onboard at the times we want. This is for a holiday cruise and we want New Years and a birthday at a particular time. So, to book four of us at Chops, we pay $120 over the kids price. I doubt we’ll have trouble spending it if...

    Quick Service Alcohol Selections

Thanks for the report. That seems kind of lame to me -- under the terms of the program anyone in the party can use any of the credits so who is to say it's not one of the adults using a second counter service credit and just having the child eat some of the food? In the end, this is just me...

    „Nickel and Diming“ questions

I moved from DCL to NCL and now we’re getting ready for our first RCI cruise, and so far I’m not loving all the charging. You have to actually pay to making any specialty dining in advance, and you are charged the full adult price even with kids — supposedly you get the difference between the...

If an adult and an under 21 eat at QS can they get 2 alcohol drinks if the adult drinks both?
