For those who take yearly trips..how many park days?

We have cut back to 1 week a year and do 7 days in the parks. We will rope drop, but then often either leave the park earlier than closing time or go back to the resort fora while in the afternoon.

    Pecos Bill toppings bar

We enjoy Pecos Bill for quick service at MK. No doubt, the toppings bar was the best part! Hope it comes back. The little sample of toppings they give you now, is not close to the bar.

Does your stomach drop on Guardians of the Galaxy?

It is fast and smooth. No big drops. I've never had any motion sickness riding it, but I can see where some could with the cars turning. However, it seemed to me that the turns fit the motion well rather than going in the opposite direction (like a double ferris wheel, etc). It also doesn't...

    Jaleo: An Appreciation

We did the Chef Tasting with wine pairings and was one of the best meals we have had at WDW. Was to be 10 courses, but ended up more than that. Spent 2 1/2 hours and loved every minute. Second time we have dined there. It can be loud and noisy, if that matters to people.

Best restaurant NOT in a park for 7 yo boys’ and 3 yo girl’s birthday?

Agree with Chef Mickey or Storybook Dining. T-Rex or Rainforest if they haven't done those before.

    Citizens Of Hollywood

Was hoping they would return, but its been too long since Covid, that I don't expect to see them return. Always loved their improv shows. The Jedi training show was really good. Not sure why that hasn't returned. Seems like a great activity to have in Galaxies Edge.

    Poll: Which Animal Kingdom Show?

As others have pointed out, Nemo today is not what it used to be. Still enjoyable, and a great show if its really hot outside. The bird show is a bird show. If you've seen one, they rarely have huge differences. However, given the ages of your kids, I voted for the bird show as I think they...

Best time to take young kids out of school?

We generally did early December when our kids were young. The parks are decorated really nicely that time of year and the weather is good. For us, early May is about the end of the School year. I would do Spring Break time, only if there were no other options, super crowded. March to early...

Citricos, Flying Fish, the Boathouse, Narcoosees or other

I had not been a fan of Citricos in the past. We dined there last fall and it was amazing! One of the best meals we had. Flying Fish is a very close second and are doing both this fall again. Agree with Jiko as well, another favorite of ours.

Not sure where this post belongs but

Every year, WDW is packed during Spring Break. Our break is this week. It's been years since I was there during Spring Break, but it seemed busier than any time we visited over. Christmas Break.

Our worst day at WDW in 16 years...

I was at WDW many years ago for a conference during Spring Break. Worst trip ever, long lines and very crowded.. The crowds were better over Christmas break. However, I was expecting bad and made the best of it and still enjoyed the 2 days for the time I had. Sorry you had a bad experience.

    Discussing DISboards Moderator Actions

your board, your policies. The lack of transparency may be a reason for less traffic, even if you claim it doesn't happen. I used to be really active, and now meh. i see many that i used to see be really active and rarely see posts from them.

    Discussing DISboards Moderator Actions

I would think it would be more constructive to post what is incorrect and let people know. When threads just vanish, it just leads to more speculation and jumping to incorrect opinions. If despite the new information, the thread ignores the correct information, then deletion would make sense.

Should Disney Park Tickets Be Cheaper on Days With Early Special Event Closure?

No for many reasons. If you show up late to a park, the ticket isn't cheaper, or if i stay longer, it isn't more expensive.. On party days, the parks are less crowded, so get much more done. Going to a park on a party day was my choice, I could have gone to a different park. Basing ticket prices...

Going to the park with shoulder injury

I would check with his doctor as to what his limitation would be at that point. I would be concerned about lifting suitcases, putting things in overhead bins on the plane if flying. Getting bounced and thrown around on different rides. I suspect he would need to be careful about what he rides...

That's what I recall reading. They had so many complaints when they switched to Tilapia.

    Best snacks at animal kingdom

The pongo lumpia in Pandora. The sweet shop in Africa used to have Zebra Domes. Not sure if they still do.

    Reusing Old Magic Bands

Yes and no. For on ride photos, the batteries die and won't be picked up by the sensors (usually about 2-3 years). The RFID doesn't die, so they will continue to work for room keys, park tap in, ride tap ins and paying.

    Moana - Journey of Water

As others have said, it's a fun walk through interactive water feature. If the line is short, it is really fun. Wouldn't wait a long time to get in.

We have done this multiple times and never waited more than 30 minutes. Last time was October 2023.
