Things that might go away after

I just think "elbow-bumps" are lame/stupid, so the I-Dream-Of-Jeannie was the best (and most original) greeting I could think of without having to physically make contact. :cutie:

Things that might go away after

I have begun doing the "I Dream of Jeannie"... People think I'm nuts. :jester:

Question about the internet, what is permissable, etc.

If you post a photo such as that on your Facebook account/profile/album, you presumably aren't receiving direct monetary gain from that when you do so.

How tall are you and how tall would you want to be ?

I'm 5'9"-and-a-half with my shoes off. When I'm wearing shoes, I'm pretty close to 5'10 / 5'10"-and-a-half. So I always just "round up" and tell people I'm 5'11". :sunny: I wish I was 5'11" with my shoes off, though.

Question about the internet, what is permissable, etc.

Assuming she's not a public figure, the fact that her face isn't visible should negate any need to have her family sign any sort of legal release.

    Would you rather

I lived in California for ten years. Yes, I'd go back. I've never been to Florida, but everyone I've talked to who either has visited or has lived there complains about the swampy terrain.

What did your life look like 10 years ago?

THEN: Working as an elementary school aide, in constant fear of getting laid off (which I was, within six months), alternately depressed/enraged about the Gret Recession. NOW: Living back at home, running a public advocacy campaign to do my part to help ensure another Great Recession never...

Horrible Thing Happened Late Saturday Afternoon

You did everything within your power to try to save this man's life. The only one at fault is the original assailant -- and, clearly, that happened well before you ever arrived on the scene.

    Do you have criminal ancestors?

I used to watch Carmen Sandiego with my grandparents, as a kid. Does that count?

Billionaire to pay off $40 Million college debt for Morehouse College class of 2019

Maybe this will inspire someone to start a NATIONAL loan forgiveness program for people who have been saddled down with student debt for YEARS...particularly the accrued interest...

Do You Consider Yourself a Feminist?

Sadly, we live in a society where so many people operate under the premise that rape occurring in men's prisons and women's prisons somehow "doesn't count." Certainly according to my former sociology instructor... :rolleyes2 It's DISGUSTING, and I will push back against it until the die I day.

Do You Consider Yourself a Feminist?

May I ask you to clarify what you mean when you use the phrase "feminizing men"? I don't want to jump to conclusions about your intended reference?

Do You Consider Yourself a Feminist?

And I haven't read/observed ANYONE on this board advocating for the government regulation of time/manner/place in terms of birth control usage. Have you?

Do You Consider Yourself a Feminist?

I'll thank you not to take it upon yourself to tell me how I "feel" about something... Yes, I do encourage people to consider why voracious sexual interactions with others are so pertinent to their lives. That doesn't mean they can't do it. Legally, they can. Legally, consenting adults can...

Do You Consider Yourself a Feminist?

I don't disagree with anything you've written in the above three paragraphs.

Do You Consider Yourself a Feminist?

If two partners have differing levels of hunger/aversion to certain sexual practices, that should ideally be discussed during the early stages of the relationship. Your point about consenting adults and their private sexual practices is well-taken, and, in general, logically-sound...except for...

Do You Consider Yourself a Feminist?

Sex drive being instinctive is a given, of course. I doubt anybody disagrees with that. But we are supposed to be more intelligent and cognitive than other mammals. If scenarios arise where emotions overtake logic, it's up to each of us to take a step back and evaluate the situation in a more...

Do You Consider Yourself a Feminist?

It doesn't make you a bad person, if you are doing it out of kindness or your own volition. It shows that you have goodhearted intentions. But I have to ask: if you saw an elderly man looking for a seat, would you offer it to him? Or a young boy? Or, what would stop you from offering to...

Do You Consider Yourself a Feminist?

Not really. People are motivated for different reasons. Not even everybody who engages in casual sex should be painted with the same broad brush. And, as others have pointed out here, unwanted pregnancies often do happen even within the context of committed relationships. What I'm simply...

Do You Consider Yourself a Feminist?

I didn't consider how birth control is also commonly used by heterosexual married couples who don't desire to have kids, so you're certainly right about that.
