    No rofr decisions dec 8-20?

We closed a contract we were selling about a week ago, the points just left our account, so transfers are still taking place.

1st time DVC purchase: Polynesian or Copper Creek

Our first contact was Poly which we recently sold to buy copper creek. My main issue with Poly is that the DVC rooms are so remote from the main building when you want to grab food / drinks, and we just loved the whole vibe of Wilderness lodge. Also as you mentioned CCV is like a whole...

Will the Disney direct points minimum ever be lowered?

I have a kind of related question…. Say i own 75 direct points bought when the min for direct perks was 100 points. Would buying 25 more direct now get me to blue card status, or would i need an additional 75 to get to the current level of 150 direct points? Assuming everything is in the same...

    Waitlist Question

Keep searching. I find evenings to be lucky, i figure folks adjust there plans after talking to their significant other. Waitlist only updates every so often and in demand rooms will often come and go before the waitlist picks them up.

Poly Villas vs Grand Floridian Villas (Resale)

I would say GFV if you only want to stay at GF or Poly, as Poly is easier to get at 7 months. Plus GF gives you the 11 month window for other room types if you need them ever. If you would be happy wherever or doing split stays you might want to consider lower cost points such as SSR, AKV or...

For those of you with a family of 5, how many points do you have and how many times do you go?

We have 500 points and generally do 2 approx week long trips a year in a 1 bedroom. Started out with 150 poly resale, and added 50 AKV resale, then 75 Rivera direct for direct benefits. Then we inherited 150 direct SSR points but a different use year. So we bought 175 CCV resale and 100 AKV...

    Addonitis- BLT, AKL, or CC

I would say try staying at one or two of your choices before taking the plunge. After staying at a couple it will probably seem fairly obvious.

    Not Worth Purchasing Resale

It seems like things are starting to settle down, and I’m starting to see some better deals.. that said we just added on 100 AKV direct because we have October use year which is less common, then add on the benefit of 2020 points, cheaper closing costs, prorated dues, less hassle / no ROFR and...

What would you do/recommend in my position?

We’ve used the boat from CCV with a stroller without any issues. Every other boat is handicap accessible so you can roll right on. However, my best advice would be to rent a car and stay where ever you want.

Request for assistance in identifying the appropriate resale contract style for my situation

Maybe get enough points for a lakeview studio, they have better availability if you end up booking closer to the 7 month window. If you get the standard studio you would have points for an extra day or two next trip.

    The $20000 backpack arrived!

Is it the lighting, or did they make the zippers gold? Hopefullly its the lighting, i dont need any excuses to buy more direct points.

    Should I Buy Riviera?

Wow. I didn’t know AKV & CCV were by the same architect, so its interesting those are my 2 favorite resorts. Riv is a close third, my main turn off with Riv is the point chart, way more points to stay there than my favorites, however the quick serve is fantastic as is Topolinos. I really like...

    Question about selling

The remaining dues on the contract I'm selling have now been paid by the title company, and the points are bankable again. Assume we are really close to the contract leaving my account at this point. I guess points aren't bankable if the dues are listed as past due.

Finally in a position where we can buy! What is PVB availability at 7 months?

Alot of people post how once you stay in a 1 bed or larger its really hard to go back to studios, and it was very true for us. We really love poly, but after discovering we prefer one beds, our poly points have just been used as sleep around points. My only criticism of poly is the lack of other...

Finally in a position where we can buy! What is PVB availability at 7 months?

We don't really have trouble as we book 1 bedrooms, which are probably the easiest category of room to book across all the resorts. However, I don't think CCV is as bad as people make out... you need to be on the ball and booking at the 11 month window in the fall / Christmas, but right now...

Finally in a position where we can buy! What is PVB availability at 7 months?

Lake view studios seem to have pretty good availability at 7 months, but you would want to book close to the 7 month window. Poly was our first contract, and after buying we realized it wasn't for us, due to the lack of other room options, we have found a 1 bedroom works better for us, with...

    Best title company experience:

I've had 2 good experiences with Mason. One was a little slow but that was due to an international seller. Also just closed on a CCV contract with TRSC, and had a good experience too... passed ROFR on 5/13, had closing documents by 5/27 and the contract showed up in my account today. I'm...

    Question about selling

We have a contract that recently sold. The deed isn't on OCC yet, but on my DVC account the points no longer show as bankable, and the dues, which I normally pay monthly, are showing as past due and not eligible for autopay. Is this something DVC does to prevent you from paying additional...

    When Disney exercises ROFR

We have a contract that we are selling that passed ROFR, but it got me thinking... I would be kind of disappointed if the contract I'm selling got taken, I would like to think those points were going to a family who would love them, not back to Disney to make a quick buck. If you have a...
