    The Last 5th Birthday Trip Report (June 5-19, 2022) - Completed 7/7/22

Those turned out great! I love how customizable they are, and how you can adjust to suit your family's tastes and interests.

    Magic Key Renewals

Probably depends on how many people do end up paying in full and how many end up failing to make payments. It is a hassle to collect/expense, so if you want payment plans to stick around encourage everyone to keep making their payments on time! The expense of tracking down late...

DCA Rope Drop With a Toddler

If the kiddo also likes characters play on them showing up starting about 10am in various places across the parks, and my kids loved watching them and interacting. We did one day focused primarily on rides and another day focused on characters and re-rides and it worked well for my 5 yr old...

MSEP... when do we think it will end!

I agree. with all your points. I'd add they might not have the staff to do two parades either!

    The planning is done….NOW WHAT????

My family disagrees on the beignets. We all thought the RB regular beignets were slightly better than the DL regular beignets, they vastly preferred the special banana ones at DL over the cookies & cream at RB, and this family loves cookies & cream. I think the beignets are worth getting...

    Our 30th Anniversary Trip!!

Thanks for the great trip report! Loved the pictures and what a great view for Fantasmic! It looks like a very fun way to celebrate without kids, and so exciting you get to go back so soon with the kids!

DLR Reservation for Park Hopper 2022

I believe the process is still to cancel your existing reservation and make new ones. There was not a way to modify a reservation for my June trip.

    Disney's ALL-STAR MUSIC RESORT Information & Questions

I'm debating between a family suite and a standard room for myself and 3 daughters. We will be spending little time in the room, but I'm still wondering if it is worth extra to give us more space. How are the beds in the standard room these days?

Has anyone had success booking dining? I mean......for the love of churros!

Hardest: RBT Premium Fantasmic package - very limited seats, goes quickly. Minnie & Friends seems to be next - which is a change from just a month ago when it was easier to get than WoC Dessert party. Ogas is also hard, especially if you have a large group - I found it harder than Minnie's, but...

How early do you plan your UOR trip?

My 8 yr old is a huge Harry Potter fan, and I'm tentatively planning a trip for her 11th birthday to UOR primarily to see the Wizarding World. How early do folks normally start planning those for real and doing hotel packages and whatnot? We'd probably be going in February. I've planned...

Universal tickets through Chase Ultimate Rewards

I'm also curious because I was tentatively budgeting a future trip (2025) thinking I'd use the rewards points. It looks like they are not offered anymore :/

    Minnie and Friends?

Also check for specific times, instead of 'breakfast' and that sometimes shows things that don't show up otherwise.

    The Last 5th Birthday Trip Report (June 5-19, 2022) - Completed 7/7/22

Conclusion This may have been our last full-family DLR trip with all my kids living at home. If so, we went out with a bang! Despite stress over getting ADRs, learning how to use Genie+, and the weirdness of ILL$, and my own high expectations, all that planning and preparation definitely made...

    The Last 5th Birthday Trip Report (June 5-19, 2022) - Completed 7/7/22

Sometimes I think Waze routes along alternates to avoid too much traffic in one area. DH and I have experimented and sometimes been routed different paths even though we are starting and ending at the same place at the same time! It was a blast! I love reliving the magic while writing it up...

Could use some help/opinions on an upcoming trip

That definitely makes sense. If you only got to do one night show, and you are WDW regulars, I'd prioritize World of Color first, Fantasmic second, and fireworks 3rd. I'd also consider adding a 5th day, but like SOCALMouseMommy says, maybe that first day is better with pool and early bedtime...

Could use some help/opinions on an upcoming trip

You might want to consider doing hoppers - DLR is very close together, and it is better to think of the DL and DCA sides as two sides to one park versus the kind of hopping that you do at WDW that involves arranging transportation. This would give you more flexibility for the nighttime shows too.

June 5th to 8th Trip Report - Disneyland Hotel

Great report! I love all the pictures, and I completely agree about Cars land. So much fun!

    WOC desert party

Yes, that's how it worked when I was there.

    WOC desert party

I did not think it was obvious. It is just past the bathrooms across from Mermaid - continue on like you are going to Grizzly River Run, and it is at that T-intersection. Around 7pm they put up a sign saying World of Color Dessert Party Checkin and the line formally starts. I believe a few...

Genie Plus - Experiences and Reviews

My family of 7 did G+ for our full stay. It was a big chunk of the budget at $700, but we found it worth it. I enjoyed the PP each day, especially the ride pictures. We also were able to get LLs for nearly all of the rides at times that worked for us. It was not quite as effective as...
