    Are you Zoom-ing?

I've been using Zoom. Works pretty good for the amount of increased traffic it has gotten in such a short amount of time, but still glitches out every once in a while.

    Where Are You Going First?

Locally, probably get my hair done (April 1st was supposed to be my re-highlight and trim day) and have a meal out with friends. Then hopefully plan a trip down to DL or if we can swing it WDW with my brother.

What would you have been doing this weekend IF the Virus hadn't interfered?

Would’ve been visiting SO’s family in Reno, then headed up to visit my girlfriends. Disappointing as I usually never have work off to go and visit them, but I’m trying to look positive and imagine how amazing it’ll be to see them once everything is over :)

Superthread for Disneyland Resort Closure and Reopening, 3/14/20 - 7/17/20: Please Post All Relevant Questions and Information Here!

I’m from Contra Costa County. I’m less panicked about the situation as a whole then wondering what I’m gonna do for three weeks possibly more just in my home. I get stir crazy so easily. I know it’s for the best but not moving around outside and socializing as I normally do will take getting...

What 'unusual' thing is sold out at your supermarket?

Chip and cereal isle we’re getting to be pretty barren. Bean and rice aisle was completely empty. Insane to me. No one I know even buys/eats beans on a regular basis unless they’re vegan or making chili. Now all the sudden everyone eats beans? Crazy

What is closed in your community....?

A lot of colleges and universities are closed/strictly online in Cali. Most are asking students to stay at their personal homes rather then return to the dorms, apartments, etc. My guess would be high schools are next..

    Alamo Inn?

Not a bad walk at all. Maybe 15 minutes max to the gate? The rooms were decent as in they had a clean shower and bed and plenty of space for the two of us. We’d stay again.

Is there better days at DL then others?

Recently mondays have been the busiest whenever I visit. In general, the weekdays are less busy than the weekends (especially in the mornings).

What to do when you travel with friends?

My friends are the same way with rope drop. I told them ahead of time they can sleep in however long they want, but I wouldn’t. The first couple days they joined me, but the last few I was on my own while they slept. The compromise worked: they saw and understood why I got up so early but I...

Experience with medicine for motion sickness

I take less drowsy Dramamine. They have chewable tablets which I take 20 ish minutes before I go on any ride I know bothers me. (One per day works) It doesn’t make me drowsy at all, and I don’t notice any side effects.

    Why buy park hoppers?

I'm in the park hop group as well, just because my favorite rides/foods are so split between the two parks, I enjoy being able to get off Indy and head to DCA for a bread bowl and a GOTG FP. Though, if we were a slower group, I wouldn't see a downside to one perk per day. It totally just depends...

*No longer relevant* (Maxpass/Fastpass: an overview and some strategy)

I’ve been able to stack more successfully at DCA, but have has success at DL too. However I typically go during slower times, so that may impact it. The fact you can grab others cancellations is a big plus for me. You can’t do that with regular FP.

    Super affordable hotel help

I second Alamo inn and Suites. Room was clean and bed was decently comfy. Walking to the park took about 14 min, so not bad at all.

How do you combat your Disney blues?

Working extra with the mindset I'm saving up for the next trip. Also, noting things I'm excited to experience next trip I didn't get to on the last. Just planning in general as others have said. The blues do hit you hard though, it's hard for me to listen/watch anything non-disney related for...

    Missing Pirate?

I remember the donkey being gone before too, so I assumed it was a similar situation, thanks for confirming! :)

    Arrive mid day

Agree with the others in that it depends on how many days you are there, and it also depends on if you want to ride certain things multiple times. For me personally, I always add on maxpass, simply for convenience sake and due to the fact I love riding Incredicoaster and Guardian's as many times...

    Missing Pirate?

Hello all, couldn't find any answers online so far so thought I'd ask here. Recently on POTC (1/12-1/14) we noticed one of the pirates missing during the scene where the town is on fire. He's the one sitting above the bridge you float under right before entering the prisoner scene (with the bird...

    Alamo Inn and Suites?

Thanks for the feedback everyone! Those are the main drawbacks...there being no coffee maker and breakfast and the fact that the walk is longer than it appears. I'll likely keep the reservation unless I really feel like it would be a drawback to our vacation.

    Alamo Inn and Suites?

My boyfriend and I are heading to DL in mid january, and since he hasn't been since he was maybe 8, the hotel choice was put in my hands. I frequent DL so I have experience with numerous motels/hotels, but this time I was looking for something cheap within walking distance. I booked Alamo Inn...
