Not that anyone asked, but out of curiosity I looked up Mid-Mountain Marathon and it is now a 50k, if anyone is interested. I still recommend the Jupiter Peak Steeplechase more if anyone wants to try something different.

I saw someone do that on the Mid-Mountain Marathon back in ‘19. Really surprised I didn’t see blood anywhere as it’s quite jagged in places. One was broken and left behind on the trail about two miles from the finish. Crazy stuff

Don’t be jealous I was in the kitchen at work, so I had no idea it happened. I have only experienced thundersnow once, and it was dark so it was sooooo amazing. Next race is the RUN SLC 15k in April. Then later that month I’m doing a bunch of volunteering for the SLC Marathon. I may sign up to...

Ran the run slc 10k Saturday. Went as expected. Some knee pain for about two miles, but nothing unusual. The weather, though, 50 degrees, 30mph winds with gust into the 50s, thankfully(sarc) the out and back started with the wind at our backs and in a head wind the way back. I put my sunglasses...

Are you an Introvert or an Extrovert

Aggressively introverted, putrecently foul mouthed when I do talk, and I have what is referred to in women as resting b!^<# face. Somehow I manage to turn on the charm and chit chat when I am at the register. Wife and daughter are both extraordinary extroverted, wife gets it when I need to...

Mostly a visual cluster**** of UA snowboard base layers from over the years. And a soft shell on top. Generally nothing but base layer and shorts on bottom. If it gets really cold(close to O*F)soft shell pants on bottom. Fleece gloves unless it’s also close to 0. Never hard shell. Might as well...

Cloudy, mid-30s for today’s RUN SLC 5k. First run outdoors in months, but there haven’t been a whole lotta runs, so there’s that. Felt great, ran faster than expected, but really just happy to be there. Oh, and the event we did tonight went off with out a hitch, and although it was down to the...

January totals Running distance- 8 miles. Sundance was a success, but the bigger news is I finally made it a month without getting sick since early last summer. So, huzzah for me. I did 2 miles on Tuesday so I should be able to complete this Saturday’s 5k without too much residual soreness.

Sugarhouse. We are probably gonna edit the concept a little from quick service, to table service, since the realtor said the area needs a place to drink, and it’s a much bigger space than planned, with a patio

I doubt in Vegas, but here you can pick them up in grocery stores in my town so you could probably have them sent to your hotel and throw one in a running back pack, as insurance

FWIW, when I used to work seasonally, I was in better shape than I am now and when I would get to the Rockies in fall from summer on the east coast it didn’t seem to affect me as badly

I have, I live at 7000 feet on the other side of guardsman pass, but based off some of the breathing I heard and people being pulled off the course by medical, I really wouldn’t recommend it if you live at sea level, but everyone handles the altitude differently, so ymmv. It is a stunning run...
