It's Weds Aug 1st. Cancelling our ADR for Kona Cafe for 3 on October 17th 7:05pm. P.m. for coordination.

Thanks for the input! We might swing by and take a peek, but it'll probably be a pass from us this year; lots of other fun events to look forward to.

I'm sure it's been covered already, but what are people's thoughts on this? Is it worth the added premium or would it be better to view from a distance? I have a free day or two that I could lock in some of these other events (although I am attending the Hoop-Dee-Doo show in the area).

I would say that the Carnation Cafe at DL is one of my favorite restaurants all around and has the best meatloaf I've ever had at a restaurant.

Ralph Brennon's Jazz Kitchen or Catal are my go-to's in Downtown Disney. Naples has good pizza too.

We're just doing the Wine/Beverage Seminar and the Culinary Demo (Duck) on Oct 10th.

That mediterranean food and wine pairing looks really good. To bad our trip isn't until mid-Oct.

I'm new to this, but was the point to use a gift card exchange and purchase the Target GC at a reduced rate and then purchase the Disney GC to achieve a realized discount with Disney? If so, did it often exceed the 5% off using the Target redcard?

I would say a budget option is to get a bluetooth headset receiver. They can be purchased for as little as $30 or you can invest in a good one which has a background noise filter (similar to the one on your cell phone) for upwards of $150; I would recommend Jabra as a good starting point...
