My sister got DAS the last time we went as a family, about a year ago. I really did not think those pre-selected rides were all that important and would be happy to give them up if it made the system more fair and less alluring to the “cheaters.”

The tour is great for Disney parks fans, particularly if you are interested in seeing the Utilidors. If someone isn’t really interested, their time and money are better spent elsewhere.
When I was looking into a school trip this year, Disney Imagination Campus/PlanEars gave me the option of purchasing meal vouchers or dining gift cards.

I like that it has a back on it. It would need to go in a locker during the day, though.
I use it to get a better idea of how much I can fit into the day, or how long our plan will take. I think the Lines app will also be very helpful. If you use G+ or ILLs, touring seems to require much more flexibility and making decisions as you go.
