How long is to long in Orlando and the parks?

We frequently stay at the Fort, as that affords us a longer trip. One year, when we had annual passes, we stayed for two weeks. That was a few days too long for us, as we pretty much stayed on property. As we used our mini camper, which didn’t have a bathroom, we had to use public facilities. It...

If you are prioritizing "experience" over food quality, which are your top spots in each park?

1)Absolutely Biergarten. I personally think it’s among the top Epcot eateries for entertainment, and on property for audience participation. I’m not personally a fan of Hoopdido, but I know I’m in the minority on that one. 2) Tappan Edo is a close second. We don’t have a hibachi grill...

    Summer House 3/9

I looked to make reservations at the Summer House and couldn’t find where. I’m going to assume it’s walk-in? Am I right in thinking this?

    Food options at Coronado Springs?

We ate at both the Mercado and Toledo. Toledo was excellent, though we both thought the noise level was pretty bad. Not a lot of sound dampening. It would be a good idea to check the online menu in advance, though my recollection is that there was a variety of foods that would probably be ok...

Tickets and Annual Pass Questions - Please add your ticket questions to this thread

Welp, that did the trick! I canceled everything, and this time I went back to the beginning. I’ve done this since they started the reservation system but this time I made a wrong turn somehow. Thanks for the help :)

Tickets and Annual Pass Questions - Please add your ticket questions to this thread

Today I made park reservations for our April trip, arriving the 2nd departing 7th. I want to visit each day we’re there, including the morning before our flight home. We have the annual incredi-pass that expires the end of May. Our last trip was 2 months ago for 2 weeks at the Fort, and had no...

    Tent Camping in January

We’ve been at the Fort now for a week (checked in 1/15/24) We experienced really great weather, and really outright frigid weather. By frigid, I’m speaking in the sense of wind chills in the 20’s. That wind pierced my unplanned purchase of a windbreaker, and the chill went through a top, jacket...

Camp needs at the trading posts?

I was finally introduced to the wonders of Cabela’s. We found good tent stakes. We found extra tent poles. We found hatchets that double as mallets. We went in for tent stakes, came out with a whole bunch of other things we didn’t know we needed lol. Problem(s) solved

Camp needs at the trading posts?

Tks, I didn’t either but himself thought there might be. He did say that one can find them in just about any big box store. I didn’t know that, so it’s not going to be as much of a problem.

    Tent Camping in January

We’re heading to the Fort now, having left northwestern Michigan on the 12th. Winter has been following us down the entire way; we’ve finally gotten to Ga; while it’s still cold, at least there’s not a foot of snow. That said, on advice from above posters (I almost typed “on advice from above”...

Camp needs at the trading posts?

We’re about halfway to the Fort, and I realized I forgot to pack our heavy duty camp stakes. Do they sell that type of thing at either the Meadows or Settlement Trading Posts? I’ve been in both, but for the life of me can’t recall ever seeing them. Thoughts?

    Tent Camping in January

We’ve tent camped in past, and I agree with the above. I’d like to add that condensation can form on your tent walls. Some kind of heating device/fan will help with that. We have one of those electric heaters that are multi-speed and have an auto-shutoff if tipped over. I second Bama Ed’s...

    ID for alcohol purchase

My experience ca. 2018 (if memory serves) was that I was carded at the Fort Wilderness New Year’s eve party and they were adamant that they see the actual card. I had to travel back to my campsite on the bus to get it. I’m currently 74, so that was an interesting experience. I’d be cautious as...

    Tent time?

Not exactly kids here, but himself and I (him 67, me 74) are tenting for the first time in many years this coming January, for 10 days. We wanted to come down (from northwest Michigan) for a winter break, but didn’t want to take our mini camper. Did that one winter in 2017 and it wasn’t a...

What is your parks frequency on WDW trips?(Survey)

We normally camp at the Fort, usually for 10 or more days. For us, at least a day or two for laundry, non-park swim, etc. When we fly down and are at a resort, we are usually in a park every day. The thing is, we’re not rope-drop people. We’re an older couple without kids, who like to take it...
