    How to start a walk?

The issue you're having is that rooms can be gone even days ahead of time. If you're 7 months out booking a trip for Monday-Wednesday but someone else wants the same dates Sunday-Wednesday, then they've got that reservation before you by a whole day. This is kind of the basis for walking - I'm...

Best DVC Resort with an Infant

Don't do it. Lol. You can if you want. We've done it. But it's a lot more of a hassle than you think, ESPECIALLY with all the baby stuff. In fact, we did it on our last trip and said never again. The distance you have to walk between parking lots and the parks is a lot further than going from...

Best DVC Resort with an Infant

Okay, after my first infant, I was VERY concerned about how much extra work it was to travel with a baby and wanted everything to be perfect. With my second kid now, I've gotten a lot more laissez-faire about the needs of babies, so take my advice (and all advice for that matter) with a grain of...

    Christmas at Wilderness Lodge

Personally, I think WL has the most Christmas-y magical feeling of any of the resorts, even without the decor up! It's probably all those evergreen trees 💚

The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 2.0

Wow, thank you so much for all the detailed and helpful information!! I think you answered all the questions I had, but I'll pop back on when we get closer. I'm sure I'll have more!

    Christmas at Wilderness Lodge

No, the decorations at the resort will not go up overnight like they do at the parks! Last time we were at Copper Creek was November 2019, about a week before Thanksgiving. They were doing the first-ever gingerbread "cabin" and we got to watch them putting that up for a few days and that was...

What is/was your long term DVC plan? Please add your thoughts!

We bought 175 points at Copper Creek in 2018, on our oldest daughter's first trip. Before this, we were deluxe resort people who typically visited Disney every other year. With the military discount prices on deluxe resorts, buying into DVC actually cost us more money up front, but financially...

The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 2.0

Just booked a dedicated 2-bedroom for January and I can't believe I lucked into this perfect room at 7 months out! We last stayed at Grand Californian in 2015 (hotel side), and we've been DVC members since 2018 (we usually go to WDW), so this will be our first time specifically staying at VGC...

Copper Creek or Saratoga Springs with 2 kids (8 & 3)

We love and own at Copper Creek so I'm biased, but before buying in to DVC, Beach Club was one of our most frequent deluxe Resorts just because we spend so much time in Epcot! The Beach Club pool is incredible and no other property comes close, BUT Wilderness Lodge has two wonderful pools, and a...

DVC Member Exclusive: Disney Wish Sailing 14 June 2022

When they say that one person needs to be booked on points, does that need to be an adult or can I use points for my infant and pay the rest in cash?

The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 2.0

Just booked for March! Fingers crossed for everything reopening by then. This isn't our first time staying at GC, but it is our first time as DVC members, staying specifically at VGC. Are we able to link the reservation to the Disneyland website? Am I missing something or is that somewhat...

Dear Disney: can you please do something about the height requirement inconsistencies?

Our last experience was pretty consistent but thorough. My 2yo daughter is a little over 35" tall, but skinny for her size and still looks a lot like a baby, especially when we're holding her. I took her on Alien Swirling Saucers (her first ride with a height requirement!) and we got stopped to...

Star Wars: Galactic Starship (resort experience) News

Has there been any information (or speculation) on how reservations will work? We're committed to going at pretty much any price point, and are basing our next WDW trip almost entirely around this, so I want to be able to sign up as soon as possible. Does it seem likely that it will compare to...

    Tell me about Biergarten!

We like to take our time at Biergarten - drink a beer, make a couple buffet trips, eat dessert, etc. We always laugh because our table companions always seem to be in such a hurry and we end up eating with just our party. So maybe we're the exception, but we usually end up seeing the show twice

APs and Resort guests can now upgrade their magicband

While I'm 99% sure I'm going with that Dole whip band, I'm really disappointed they haven't made the other solid colors available. I really love that dark green.
