Are they getting overly strict on DAS

I was able to get a DAS pass for DLR last week for our visit in June. I had to wait over 2 hours on the chat (with several refreshes and a technical issue on their end), but after the cast member came on he was great. I didn't have a problem getting the pass, and he took the time to talk to me...

DAS Advanced Selections - your experiences

I believe I was able to schedule all 3 days of my trip 30 days before the first park day. Edit: After reading SueM's post above, apparently this was the exception rather than the rule.

Why is trying to register for DAS so frustrating? NOTE FROM MOD: this is about OPTIONAL VIDEO DAS Registration

I'm glad it finally worked for you. It was a frustrating experience for me too, but well worth it in the end. I hope you enjoy your trip!

DAS Advanced Selections - your experiences

Yes, I understand that! My mom needed a scooter, so I rented one at the beginning of the day and rode it for a while until she arrived. Even with the scooter I was tired. It's a huge park and there were big crowds.

DAS Advanced Selections - your experiences

I didn't actually use it on a ride or show. We were too tired by that time. I just meant that it stated I could use it. (Further posts said that there was a time limit - that did show up on mine with a 20-minute time span.)

    A Dream for Christmas 2021

They were still playing Christmas music, and I believe there were still decorations, but there wasn't really a focus on Christmas. I'm surprised that ours was busier than yours too!

    Fear of heights and Skyliner

Yes, that took a bit of getting used to. And if it stopped for a long time, then I'd be anxious... And nearly every time you're coming down to a station, it looks like you're going to hit the one in front of you. It's pretty amazing.

Lots of Pixie dust at the Yacht Club!

Thanks. Me too. The whole family was there celebrating my parents' 50th, but my dad's health has been in decline for a while so we were so glad they were able to go, feel safe, and get such excellent treatment by the CM at Yacht Club.

    A Dream for Christmas 2021

I loved reading your write-up! We were on the Dec. 27 Dream ship, and many of our experiences were similar to yours. But I believe there were around 1,900 people on ours (told by another passenger, not a CM), and our Beauty & the Beast was at capacity before the start time! It was my first...

    Recent Dream cruisers?

We just returned from our Dream trip. it was amazing! I couldn't believe how kind everyone was, and we loved our host & servers. I know it wasn't even close to full capacity, which made everything easier and more relaxed. Obviously there's always a chance of covid, but they did a great job...

Lots of Pixie dust at the Yacht Club!

We went to WDW the week before Christmas, and my parents stayed at the Yacht Club. First they talked with the check-in woman, who changed their room to one with a step-in shower and overlooking the lake. She also answered all of their questions so patiently. My father needed to run dialysis...

DAS Advanced Selections - your experiences

I used half of the DAS Advance Selections. One disappeared (Lion King show) and I could use it for anything. Another was too late in the day, but I was able to use the day-of DAS to get it earlier, then cancelled the later one so someone else could use it. I also had no trouble getting day-of...

The Genie Usage, Tips and Strategy ONLY Thread

We were just there before Christmas. We weren't planning to use Genie+, but I'd read about it just in case. Because of the crowds, we did end up purchasing it for our Magic Kingdom day. Space Mountain was put into the Genie+ group for the two weeks of Christmas, so we decided it was worth it...

Masking in the parks right now

We were just there, and I agree with Disney.Dreamin.Dee - the cast members were great about reminding people to put on masks anytime they went inside. People were generally very good at masking indoors. Outdoors were a split; there were some people wearing masks, but the majority were not...

    Fear of heights and Skyliner

Since I read this thread multiple times leading up to my trip last week, I figured I'd add my two cents now that I've ridden the Skyliner. I really hate heights in general and was worried about it. But we first tried just going from Art of Animation to Epcot. I loved every second of it and...

Advance DAS turned to multiple experience

This happened to me with our Festival of the Lion King show the week of Christmas. It still says 2:30-2:50 as my return window though, since it was for a 3:00 show. There is still a 3:00 show, so I don't understand why they cancelled the DAS for it.

    DCL Air Quality

We are planning to go on the Dream in December. My father is older and has health issues, and his nephrologist asked about air quality & circulation on the ship. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find this out? I'm also going to call guest services, but not sure they know. Thanks.

WDW Summary of NEW DAS changes and Disney Genie - Post ONE is an updated summary

I've been reading through the posts, but I apologize if I missed this... Are you allowed to use the day-of DAS on the same attraction you requested ahead of time? (It's possible we could miss a pre-assigned time for an attraction at Magic Kingdom due to lunch going long.) The cast member said...
