You are quite correct. We are park junkies and don't like to sashay, mosey, saunter, or lollygag to anything. We hit them hard and our evening meal is our respite from the hustle.

We only have one full service meal a day, and we generally eat that at 8:30 or so, so we are in the parks for the rest of the time. Whether you are genuinely impressed or being facetious (I honestly can't tell, but if feels like the latter), makes no difference to me. We are only devoting an...

We're a once every five years family for WDW but if we were closer (or in a higher tax bracket) I could definitely see the value. Haha. and yeah... we leave no credits on the table..

    Latest Disney Dining Show podcast

It will be an 8 night stay with us arriving mid-morning so our snacks for the first day will be used on the last day for breakfast, and the numbers I crunched were for a party of 5 (we had two add-ons later, but I think adding two more people won't affect the value %). We had an average of $9...

I went through the painstaking process of crunching the numbers for our entire upcoming trip, fully expecting the DDP to be a poor value for our family of 7 (no kids under 10). I was surprised to discover that we were going to save over $425 by using the DDP. I was not expecting to see any...

    Sinus revolt when in WDW!

I appreciate all of the advice, but seriously, no headache, no pressure, no coughing or watery eyes. Just nasal congestion. I become a mouth-breather. So weird...

    Sinus revolt when in WDW!

I am from the Midwest and I am very used to temps in the mid 90s and humidity levels of over 75% for weeks on end, so I was surprised that when visiting WDW in August, my sinuses went into total revolt. I normally use nasal spray a few times a week only at bedtime so that I can sleep (I use a...

Why the Loathing of Daisy? :Best and Worst Today’s episode

Little Known Fact: KingLlama can turn a thread about a Space Mountain overlay into his irrational, albeit hilarious, detestation (<-- Is this a word?) for Duffy. Haha. Seriously, Ryno's hatred for Daisy is not even in the same area code with KingLlama's rancor toward Mickey's stuffed friend. If...

    Homogenizing the Disney Parks

Oh believe me, I don't take the Florida parks for granted. As I said, I'm not lobbying for a cloning of the other parks. I'm just a father of 4 who wishes his kids could ride Journey to the Center of the Earth, Ratatouille, and Radiator Springs Racers. I should probably stop watching so many...

    Homogenizing the Disney Parks

I completely understand the disdain some people have for homogenization, and the allure of every park being unique and one of a kind. I get it, but I'm conflicted. As a blue collar employee that likely (very likely) will never travel over seas and usually has to save for 3 to 4 years to take...

    Self-booking issues

So, why am I not able to book two rooms together on the Disneyworld.disney.go.com website? We have 6 in our family and we want to do a couple of rooms at a value (probably POP), but it won't let me book 2 rooms at once. I have to split up the family and get two different quotes. This is...

Confirmation that Tony's is still horrific?

To be fair, pasta sauce is usually the measuring stick for Italian eateries. If someone recommended a Japanese restaurant to me but advised against the sushi I don't think I would go there. The insulting of someone's marinara in Italy is "duel-worthy", so I think that needs to be a priority.

Chef Mickeys or Rainforest Cafe (DS) dinner?

This is our rule of thumb as well. Speaking of TRex, that would be a great alternative for OP. The food is certainly better than RFC and the atmosphere is still very kid friendly without being deluged with characters (as I see you are going to be swimming in them for the rest of your trip). If...

Confirmation that Tony's is still horrific?

*sigh* This is disappointing. With that kind of prime real estate, it could be a real game changer if they gave it the make-over it needs.

Confirmation that Tony's is still horrific?

Yesterday's Big Fat Panda show featured former VP of MK, Dan Cockerell. One of the questions he was asked was about the food quality at MK; specifically at Tony's. He said that they have just hired a new chef. They are now making their own pasta in-house. New recipies. Yada yada. Has anyone...

Okay, which one of you did this?

I've heard it said, and just recently at that, "you haven't arrived until Llama wants you banned." Maybe someone was just trying to gain acceptance.

REVAMP of Whispering Canyon Cafe BEGINS

Disney caters to first time guests. Period. First time guests will have no idea that they have missed anything (unless they are compulsive researchers and review readers like us). This was one of our evening meals our last time at WDW and my family enjoyed it tremendously. I hate that other...

    Show discussion idea....

Being a teetotaler on either side isn't very practical. When we were there in 2016 I used the MDE app A LOT! It made scoring last minute FP+s and looking at wait times so much more convenient. Plus taking pictures and videos is obviously much easier. I am really looking forward to using the...
