Disney's BOARDWALK INN Information & Questions

We stay onsite a lot in DVC rentals and technically, you can check in anytime before your arrival (online) and use the hotel amenities all day, if you'd like. The hotels have spaces to change clothing if you want to swim, and you can leave your bags with bell services. I've gotten rooms as...

    Fallout on Amazon

I've never heard of the game, but DH started to watch it a few nights ago when I was working and I had trouble getting anything done because I got super invested in it. He had heard of the game, but knew nothing about it. I had no idea it was based on a game until mid-way through episode 1 he...

Do you like the turn-down chocolates on DCL?

I only like dark chocolate, and my family is indifferent, so they stack up in our room. On the transatlantic, we had a HUGE stash stuffed in the shoe organizer I had hanging on the wall.

5:05 dinner at GF Cafe & 7pm MK entry to DAK - doable?

Same experience in last year or two. Painfully slow and frustrating service. Last time (abt a month ago), I had to return to the host stand to see if we even had a waiter - we had been sitting at a table, ignored, for 20 minutes after being seated. Used to be a favorite!

Transatlantic - Tell Me All the Things!

Chiming in late - we did the EBTA last May with my dad (senior adult), me and my DH, and our then-3 year old. Hand's down, best vacation we've ever taken and it was the best value by far. Even with 3 additional nights at a NICE air b&b in Barcelona, flight back, tips, transfers, parking at the...

Strollers in Line Due to Broken Tibia

We just did this a couple weeks ago for a 4 year old recovering from a broken femur and it was easy! Guest services quickly got us a handicap tag for his stroller so he could stay seated in lines.

    Grand Floridian Vs Disney Fantasy

Completely apples and oranges for me. I enjoy cruises occasionally but visiting WDW never gets old for me, and I find it to be an incredible value (but we have AP's and never pay near rack rate - cruises are MUCH more expensive for us).

Extended Evening Hours Questions and Answers

It was open but we didn't walk all the way back there. We stuck to the front of the park only. We watched the fireworks and then went to ride stuff, and did everything we wanted to do, but you certainly could jump in a line at 9pm and skip them if you wanted.

Not sure where this post belongs but

We were there last week and it was amazing. Definitely not wall to wall people. This week is the start of Spring Breaks and it's always, always packed. Folks who research dates should know this and have a good game plan (plus pack LOTS of patience!). Ridden GOTG many times and never seen...

    Strategy for Epcot fireworks

This week, people were claiming spots along some of the fencing about an hour or so prior so it would not be odd to put down a small blanket and sit to wait. I can't imagine laying down and sleeping in the middle of a theme park, especially with the amount of people also claiming spots around...

Extended Evening Hours Questions and Answers

We just did both Epcot and MK this week! I didn't pay attention to Epcot food options but at MK a few places were open. Note: they were not noted as open in the operating hours so that is not a good way to see. I could only find out they were open by 1) they were accepting mobile orders or 2) I...

Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT Information & Questions

Does anyone know if walkway to GF is open? Or do we have to monorail over?

    Gift Delivery to Room

There are a bunch of options through the Ear For Each Other Facebook group - current/former CM's that picked up new jobs during shutdowns. We did a birthday door decorating, balloons, gift baskets, cookies, birthday cakes, etc through businesses in that group. Besides door decorating, all other...

Will Disney resorts provide toddler step stools?

We have always just lifted him up, just like we do for public restrooms, other hotels, airports, cruise ships, etc. Some places have a lower sink available but most don't (esp when traveling - I can't recall a single lower sink in Europe last year). I don't even think about it anymore to be...

    Best Restaurants for picky eaters

Honestly, your best bet is scrolling the menus on the app to see what looks safe and appealing for her. I'd have her download the app and poke around in her spare time, esp since your trip is still months away. Do you know what foods she avoids? My mother doesn't have a gallbladder and she has...

    DCL cruisers tried Royal...

I haven't cruised RCCL in so many years that I can't offer any educated opinion but I can offer that the last time I sailed Disney out of Miami, it was nothing short of a nightmare and your port experience is not unique to RCCL. It was on the Dream, the transatlantic, last May. Traffic took 1+...

Big River Grill is supposedly closing

When I asked one time about fries, they said they weren't allowed to have one because of their location under the hotel :confused3 A conversation on Disney Food Blog seems similar to the one we had. If true, that will continue to be a huge issue for any casual restaurant interested in the...
