For any checking updates…
1. They only give you the tiny shampoo bottles not the wall mounted kind.
2. If you miss the boat walk immediately!! It is so slow and takes a long time for the next one to come. Walk is much better
Posting my non-lunch tips back as spring break has a few weeks on it and my days were 10s re: crowd levels (if this isn’t allowed per the rules hope a Mod deletes - I wasn’t sure)…
1. As noted above, before 11 best for lunch at the HP spots but 11:30 still tolerable with a wait.
2. Hogsmeade...
Another update from the IOA side - crowd level ended up being a 10 today per TP…went off plan (dumb me!) and did not end up in line at 3Broomsticks until 11:30. Inside building by 11:50/45 then more line. Sat down with food 12:05. Not bad but definitely not walk up like LC at 10:45 yesterday...
Toothsome - skip this. Seriously. Food was just not very good. If you go do dessert only - chocolate cake and bread pudding were very good; milkshake was pretty runny. Service was so SLOOOOW.
Leaky Cauldron - awesome. Food was really good (each dish ordered) and came quickly.
Updating on how it went for any searching threads later…Went in Leaky Cauldron today at 10:45. Streets in DA were really crowded. TP says today ended up being a 10 at USF. We had ordered and sat a bit before 11. Probably finished 11:30 (food came press fast). There were empty tables still then.
We are FINALLY going to Universal in 1.5 weeks (!!! :cool1:) Never been and trying to finalize our plans. Hoping those that have been over spring break before might be able to shed some light...
1. Trying to eat at 10:45 at Leaky Cauldron and at 3 Broomsticks (Sun & Mon respectively) - is this...
Thank you! I did book something at RPR already.
I was intended to rope drop both days and thinking of doing mainly just the Harry Potter stuff in USF on the 31st then Harry Potter in IOA plus water rides then leave.
For the 1st I was thinking to rope drop IOA to do Harry Potter less crowded...
Trying to find a good time to go to Universal in the coming year. We had cancelled a visit in spring 2020 so are eager to come. In the spring it will be tough to do except for spring break which I am figuring will be particularly insane in 2022 post Covid.
The kids have a 2 day break from...
We are headed there that day for our first trip so I have no personal expertise to share. :)
That said, Touring Plans seems to think crowds will be lighter that day - presumably due to the earlier close.
Note that the high schoolers get entry to the parks starting at 4 though so there will...
Just expect it will be crowded and plan accordingly. Below is a possible outline...
1. Rope drop and get in 2, maybe 3, rides before line are nuts.
2. First fast pass
3. Show
4. 2nd fast pass
5. Early lunch or show (depending on opening time) then the opposite
6. 3rd fast pass
7. Play zone area...
Here is what we liked for our one and done:
- stayed at Port Orleans French Quater - highly recommend as it is nice, manageable size and has the cool water taxi to Disney Springs. If you can afford Deluxe do that; this was nice if not though.
- Do 2 days at Magic Kingdom (one is not enough)...
Another vote for staying an extra day BUT I’ll be contrary and say that I’d suggest you plan a no parks day mid-week when you do not need to get up and go anywhere and are just relaxing. My kids (6 and 10) really loved having a day to stay put and enjoy the resort without a time crunch at all...
When I called late last year to ask about luggage transfer they said they will transfer from one of the fancy hotels to the others. Possible that’s changed but that was the answer around Dec I think per the phone line...
We only went once so nowhere near the experience level of many here. During that trip though my answer would be: not really. Found staff generally professional, some quite thoughtful and no people awful enough they stood out.
How many park days do you have? We did 2 days at MK and the 2nd one we left shortly after the parade to go for an early dinner at Disney springs.
My kids STILL talk about how awesome the dinner experience (Ragland Road) was - it was a big highlight and memory of the trip.
BUT if we only had...
