I'm weighing booking a very early December trip to Disneyland or Walt Disney World, and CBR with Skyliner access to 2 of the 4 parks is definitely a huge weight on the side of WDW. How the openings go and the situation of the overall world progress is still waiting to be put on the scales.

If you are booking Pirate Rooms as some sort of deal or package and request one of the northern buildings it is fine and worth it, imo. Building 34 and 35 are best, and 36 is still ok. For 34 and 35 it is a short walk to Skyliner, not too many other buildings with better walks on the property...

Request second floor. I believe none of the second floor would be accessible showers?

Freestyle machines are next to the ice machine areas in 43 and 46 in Jamaica. There is one by 52 in Aruba, and probably one by 54 or 55.

For us the theming of the resort and Pirate Rooms really add to the value and enjoyment of a WDW trip. PotC is our favorite ride and a fun movie series so there is a bit of a bias there. That said I would only book the rooms at some type of deal, not full rate. They did a refresh to the rooms...

There is no North or South anymore, just Trinidad for the Pirate Rooms. It used to be called Trinidad South. That video has Spyglass Grill so it's all Pirate Rooms around there. Haven't seen that video before, really good one though!

We're in the December checked out group now. :sad1: Had an amazing Saturday and Sunday in the parks though! Crowds weren't bad before noon and after the fireworks. Between then it was probably a 6/10, maybe a 7/10. Was really looking forward to Viva Navidad but it was cancelled for one...

Just scored a 6:20pm Blue Bayou for Saturday. Guess that means missing Candlelight Processional but that's ok. Snoap fall along New Orleans Square and Blue Bayou dinner will be amazing. They still do the snow for Rivers of America with Candlelight Processional going on right?

The pirate rooms are great in reality. The buses are fine, and the Skyliner is a short walk across the bridge. They seemed to already have it in their head CBR would be terrible, so just helping them move along.

It's as terrible as the people say it is. Buses take forever and the walk to the Skyliner is ridiculous. Happy to save you the time from researching anything from the vast wealth of information on the internet and especially contributions here! Hope you enjoy The Boardwalk!

The other island building neighborhoods are preferred bookings so those stops get picked up first. During high volume of passenger times they will send buses for those 2 islands though. Sometimes you can get unlucky with a full bus from the other ones not stopping. Everything usually works ok...

Definitely True. Spyglass Grill at the quiet pool there is great too. Prepping in your head to enjoy the journey to OPR and main pool can go well for the difference of staying in Trinidad also.
