so i know i'm reviving an old thread but it's the only one i could find that discussed this topic directly. i wanted to give an update for anyone wondering. i emailed TiW and they said white card holders DO NOT have access to TiW. purchasing an AP would be the only way to gain access.

This one was a no-brainer for them to buy back. 300 points coming available in June so they can immediately sell it. After closing costs and such, Disney can flip this around at a $80 - $85 per point markup and make 25k+ almost overnight

i get the vibe DVD buys them back if they fit one of two categories...a) the price per point is 8+% below the average for a specific resort or b)significant points are available within a month or two of closing. one reason i'm holding out hope ours goes through is we only have 19 points...

or that...guess i was thinking way to hard lol

my guess would be that they have a resale in RFOR for an August use year. hoping DVD snatches up another contract to fill the waitlist requests which then would negate the need to buy their contract. i'm in the same boat hoping they either get to my contract after 2/25 or that they buy another...

yep I understand that part. I will be doing a separate resort no matter what just to give us a different 11mo priority plus we can change up our stays. just trying to make sure i’ve got my bases covered when it comes to being able to use points in a holding account(hope it never comes to that)...

thanks. i had built out a calendar similar to that where i purchased an october use year. whole thought process was thatbif formsome reason we had to cancel our big trip in november and everything went to the holding account, I would at least have 2-3 work trips to use them up instead of losing them

i really think that disney is trying to buy up enough inventory to fill all those small addons. the moment 2/25 hits the waitlists will drastically shrink because people will back out. hopefully after that they will move things along quickly. personally i'm hoping they don't review mine till the...

haven't seen any recent updates on ROFR passing/taken here lately. seems like DVD is taking their sweet time with all the small direct addons being waitlisted here this week :(

yes as bill said. anytime you have a different name on the deed or a different use year you will then have a new corresponding member number
