    CDC changing requirements tomorrow...

Yep, another added hassle and stress. :headache: We cancelled our Feb trip last week and I am so glad we did.

    Funny Memes

This one made my literally laugh out loud! My hubby has shirts from when he was in HIGH SCHOOL. He's 40. The struggle is real. :rotfl2:

Travelling with kids under the age of 12 - what ARE the rules??

I said it is IN ESSENCE house arrest... yes they can leave for a walk around the block so if you want to get super technical about it then it is not a true house arrest but my point is that the rules still make travel incredibly difficult when kids can't go to school for 2 full weeks and that is...

Travelling with kids under the age of 12 - what ARE the rules??

Yeah so it's in essence 2 weeks of house arrest (no school not public places) to enjoy 1 week of a vacation. So not worth it IMO. We will cancel this trip and rebook when the world regains it's sanity (if that ever happens).

Travelling with kids under the age of 12 - what ARE the rules??

Thanks for the help, I had looked at the government website but I was just confused not knowing it had changed. AGAIN. This pretty much is the nail in the coffin for our Febuarary trip :sad2:

Travelling with kids under the age of 12 - what ARE the rules??

I am trying to get info about what the rules are for unvaxxed kids under the age of 12 right now. I thought I had heard that they were exempt from mandatory quarantine if their parents were vaxxed but I also read that they still can't go to school. So.... there's pretty much no change IMO. If...

    Genie+

Yes and yes. This video answers those questions: Disney World Introduces PAY-PER-RIDE System That Will CHANGE Everything - YouTube

    Genie+

And Disney already knows that people will pay it which is exactly why they are able to nickel and dime and gouge their guests. No judgement here though. As much as I want to throw in the towel in loud protest we'll fork it over too. But I'm not happy about it. lol :rotfl2:

    Genie+

The new Genie + system will add over $300 USD to our trip so I'm not happy about it. I don't mind paying for individual rides because I am assuming it will guarantee us a spot on some of the ones that are way harder to get a fastpass for. I would pay to ride Rise of the Resistance once. To me...

Make sure you get your negative covid test results on time

Ugh.. reading these stories.... I am sure this goes without saying, but what an unbelievable headache and pain in the *** travel is right now. Doesn't sound like much of a vacation. The closer our trip gets the more convinced I am that I have no desire to try to navigate the complete and utter...

    Current restrictions nowhere you are?

Also from Alberta. Maybe I'm the minority here, but I am 100% happy and comfortable with the province's decision to lift all restrictions and end testing and isolation requirements. I am beyond thrilled that our kids won't be masked up in school in the Fall and that they can actually hug one...

Booking dining reservations 6 months out

Oh! That's good to know. That takes the pressure off. Thanks so much! :)

    Flying Westjet? Check your flights!

That's crazy! Thanks for the heads up. So far out flights are unchanged, but we are still 6 months away. I'll be checking in every few months to make sure it isn't changed.

Booking dining reservations 6 months out

We are quickly coming up to the 6 month mark before our trip and I am wondering how imperative it is to be booking dining reservations this far out? We aren't planning on doing character meals again, so some of those really popular places are out. Right now we don't even have park tickets yet as...

WWYD: Should I cancel for Fall 2021?

I am with fellow posters, I think the likelihood of things changing by the fall is slim. We are in the same boat, both of our kids can't be vaccinated yet and a 2 week trip and 2 week quarantine when we return means a full month off school which is not doable. We are booked for Feb and hoping...

ALL CANADIAN DISNEY STORES TO CLOSE

I asked a cast member here in Calgary about this and she said it wasn't true and that it was just a rumour.

When is everyone going to Disney?

We are going in February, hopefully! Still waiting for the US Canada border to open, but that's the plan anyway!

    We need a Sports thread

My hubby is a die hard Habs fan so naturally we were pretty happy about the win! They are doing unreal so far! (And I don't even typically watch hockey), lol.
