    First time end of Aug

We did not use max passes at all, and did not feel they were needed. I used the app continually for checking wait times, and if we did want to do a ride with fast pass option, often we could grab a regular fast pass and be on the ride within less than half the time indicated for the stand by...

    First time end of Aug

We went this exact time last year and spent the Sunday (which was CHOC walk day as well) as our non-park day. Our kids enjoyed a pool day and hanging out in Downtown Disney making build a bears. The lines both at the ticket booths and gates as we walked by were insane, so I can only imagine what...

    August Trip ?s

We went this past August during this exact same time period. Crowds were great, however the hours during the week are shorter. DL 9-9 DCA 10-8, so try to take advantage of the longer hours on the Saturday/Sunday by being there right at opening as you will get a TON done before noon those days...

    Last week of Aug 2018

We also visited during this time period this year. Crowds were great even when not using max pass. Our longest waits in 5 days at the parks was 20 minutes for Alice and the fast pass line for RSR after the ride broke down. Yes it was hot, but as others have posted, you can manage this by using...

    Question About Airmiles Parkhoppers

We used discounted air miles tickets in the summer. They were also the actual tickets not a voucher, and for the first entry they did require passports to verify Canadian residency.

    Vancouver airport question

We had no line ups either way. We flew noonish on a Friday to the US and returned 5pm ish on a Friday as well. They have many machines and agents, so it wasn't an issue for us.

    Vancouver airport question

We flew YEG >>YVR>>SNA in August with Westjet. Our luggage was checked all the way through to Anaheim. US customs is an automated process and you identify luggage on a screen prior to proceeding to a US customs agent. No collecting bags. It is a walk to customs from the Westjet arrival area...

    Just returned, thoughts...

Redwood Challenge is an obstacle course/playground right across from a Grizzly River Run. It has zip lines, fantastic rope climbers and many little paths, caves and other neat things to help burn off some energy for kids. It is geared to kids under 12. Lots of benches for weary parents too :)

    Just returned, thoughts...

I am a long time reader of these boards, and have very much appreciated all the nuggets of wisdom I have gained to use on our 3 trips to Disneyland over the past 5 years. As such I thought I would just post a few thoughts from our last visit between the scorching dates of August 25- September 1...
