    "Official" 2019 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party - A Frightfully Festive Celebration

We went to a sold out party last week and it was a surprisingly negative experience. Long waits, heavy crowds, just not really worth it. We did MVMCP last year and it was the total opposite! Matt

    "Official" 2019 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party - A Frightfully Festive Celebration

In the past they've just marked our party as checked in and notated how many wristbands were out standing. As other members of our party arrived they checked in with our name.and got their wristbands. This was last year. Matt

Epcot Forever - What did you think?!

They should have extended Illuminations then, unless there was just no possible way to get more pyrotechnic stock, but I sincerely doubt that. EF is probably worse than nothing, it's going to be hard to shake that stench. Matt

Epcot Forever - What did you think?!

DW and I are huge, huge fans of Illuminations, and we were very sad to hear it was leaving, so we booked a trip for 9/27 to 10/4 to send it off. After seeing two shows that week, including the final one, we braced ourselves for Epcot Forever on 10/1 intending to see it again 10/3. Well, not to...

    That didn't take long...Skyliner Accident

I was just on these last week, I thought the descent in to stations was frighteningly fast, and it stopped fairly abruptly. It seems like in this case, it didn't stop as planned? Not sure yet. Too bad, it's very convenient but I'm not sure I'll ever be comfortable on them now. Matt

    Navi Shaman gone. 9/19

We felt the same way, we've ridden it twice now. It looks fantastic, but there is no narrative at all, and that's something we're spoiled by with most Disney rides. Honestly feels a little like you're waiting the ride to begin and then it ends. Total waste of good potential and park space. Matt

MNSSHP Cap’s shield ok to bring in?

That didn't answer either of OPs question, it doesn't address the eye make up or if Cap's shield is interpreted as a weapon. Obviously they know weapons are not allowed as they mentioned in their original post. Not such an easy internet search. Good try. Matt

Non rope drop ppl - what’s it like??

Just for my own curiosity, why do you think it's a bad idea? Matt

Are there any good reasons to upgrade to any annual pass?

We did that, sort of, we both had APs, but I let my lapse and she renewed hers. The math worked out quite well for us. Don't forget to factor in $169 for your group saved for MemoryMaker if you were going to get it. Matt

Ever canceled a trip because kids didn't earn it?

Excuse me? Where do you get off being so condescending? I worry about money because I was raised to be responsible and not hose it away in a, frankly pathetic, power struggle with a child. It's not a phase of an age group to be responsible, it's just being responsible. It's about me, and my...

Ever canceled a trip because kids didn't earn it?

Except you were rude anonymously, from a high horse full of assumptions. My turn, I find people are often not concerned with money when they don't have to worry about it themselves, I'm guessing that fits you. I worry about money because I am in fact a productive member of society and work for...

    Need to buy a VPN

Oh well that was a coherent list of reasons. Short of working in specific corporate or government networks with sensitive data, regular common sense should be enough security for anyone. Your paranoia isn't doing anyone any good. Matt

Ever canceled a trip because kids didn't earn it?

This seems alarming. You destroyed an expensive piece of electronics to assert dominance over a child that got mad at you? This strikes you as healthy? Matt

Ever canceled a trip because kids didn't earn it?

I wouldn't recommend that approach. I guarantee you in 95% of cases it doesn't work as planned. Also, I'd be absolutely considering finances and cancellation fees, I think most people would. Frankly I don't believe half the people that say they would cancel the trip in those circumstances, and I...

Has the mergers in the airlines lead to the mess we have?

All of my worst domestics flying experiences involved Logan. I hate that airport. I switched to rail to get to/from Boston from NY because of that airport. That said, the JetBlue flights I've seen out of there have always been competitively priced, including to MCO. Matt

    Flying

That's how it's supposed to work, and I've gotten that card before, and it clearly indicates that I shouldn't have to remove the belt and shoes, but the TSA agents insisted anyway on multiple separate occasions, I politely protested twice, first time got me a shrug, second time got me a "do we...

What happens to cars overnight in park parking lots?

Tried busses several times across two trips last year, they were terrible I regretted not having a rental car the entire last trip. Matt

    Flying

I love Pre-check, but as it gets more popular, it loses value rapidly. Our home airport often has more people in the Pre line than not, and they only have one person doing the ID checks, so the Pre line ends up taking longer. Worse still, they tend to just lump Pre in with regular for the...
