Golf Cart Rental at Fort Wilderness

This is a good alternative for that time of year; they will take you around loops that have some great decorations: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/recreation/holiday-sleigh-rides/

    Blue Milk available at Publix!

This is awesome! We don't have Publix near us but will look to see what we can find...yesterday we got Marshmallow Sky blue ice cream by Ben and Jerry's in preparation for May the 4th (no artificial colors!):

Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE RESORT Information & Questions

I guess it just depends on how you want to do it - if you are eating at DS and then want to go directly to the Poly then that makes sense. If you were going directly from POR to another resort, then you could either get a Minnie Van directly there or take a bus to a park and go from there. I...

Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE RESORT Information & Questions

Sorry- I think I must have assumed that because of the mention of AK right beforehand! If you are planning a possible TS meal at Disney Springs it's such a relaxing/fun visit to go by boat from POR! You can still watch the fireworks from the Poly beach - best chance is just to go to the Poly...

Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE RESORT Information & Questions

You sound like a great friend! A Royal Room is a great option for a first timer - they are just so very "Disney." A bit off topic but since you mentioned her liking the feel of the Savanna, have you consider booking a meal at Sanaa at AKL? We usually try to book the first lunch seating of the...

Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE RESORT Information & Questions

We stayed in a Royal Room with a Woods View last year and absolutely loved it - it didn't make it feel like a motel at all (though I can see how it might if you were in standard view/facing the parking lot instead). It was peaceful and quiet and we had a lot of lush greenery outside our door.

DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

One of my concerns is the timing change that says "DAS is valid for the length of the ticket or up to 120 days, whichever is shorter." We often buy just a one day-one park ticket to start with, and see how things go, as to whether or not our DAS user is able to do another park day on a trip-...

    Teppan edo and Biergaten

Bumping this up because I have the same question and I have read reports of both, but none recently - thinking of trying Biergarten later this year but with communal seating that would be a non-starter for our family....

Tron: post your experiences here regarding ride and Alternate Seating

I swear I read that but somehow missed the part about telling the CM that you all want to sit together when I read it! 🤦 Thank you!

Tron: post your experiences here regarding ride and Alternate Seating

Since this is from last year, has this generally been other people's experiences? We have ridden Tron once before, not long after opening, and one of our party did not do well with the lightcycles (so of course it is now the favorite ride of another family member!) We skipped it last time, but...

The DIS Campers Train Thread: From Model Trains Up To The Real Thing

We stayed in a red caboose at the Point South KOA in Yemassee, SC about a decade ago - they also had a trolley people could book as well. (Looks like they are both still available!) https://koa.com/campgrounds/pointsouth/albums/#content

Disney Plus And Hulu Combined App Launching Into Beta Next Month

This is how it is for us- it didn’t ask us if we wanted Hulu integrated- it just showed up and all of a sudden it was everywhere and things came up when my kids were searching. Even on one of the kids accounts it shows an “Alien” collection and a “Predator” collection (when you click on them it...

    Glasgow Scottish Food Safari

Oh! I can’t believe I forgot Millionaire’s Shortbread! (Also regular shortbread but seriously…try the Millionaire’s if you can). If you can find a place that does ****-a-leekie soup or clootie dumpling, those are very Scottish foods as well.
