3 days at DLP Sept 2018 - advice needed

We stayed at Hotel E'lysee in November, and have booked again for February. It is a very nice hotel and an excellent location. It is what I would describe as a 'business hotel' with big rooms, comfy beds and a cocktail bar. It is right opposite the train station, which is one stop away from DLP...

When would be the best time to travel if we are given times to choose from?

We went at the end of May, in the UK 'half term holiday' break - it was gorgeous weather and relatively quiet. Although there were quite a few English families there, other European countries did not have holidays at the time. We went Mon-Fri, which also helped.

    London and Paris Hotel Suggestions?

Premier Inns are better than Travelodge for families with older children because the extra beds added to the family rooms are FAR more comfortable. I won't book Travelodge when my son is with us because his bed would be AWFUL. Premier Inn is the way to go in my opinion. (Not tried Comfort Inn)...

Never been before . . . questions, questions, questions!

I can't answer many of your questions, although there are plenty of people here who can. However, it is very easy indeed to catch the RER train from right outside the entrance to the parks and go to Val d'Europe, which is one stop away. Out of the train station and you are in a town square...

    Hotel and Transportation Questions

We will be staying at Hotel d'Elysee in November, and I picked it due to its location. There is a shuttle bus to DLP BUT it is right opposite the train station, and you get dropped off even closer to the park entrance than the shuttle buses! Easy to use ticket machines, too. Regarding...

    Mickey and the Magician...

Yes, we saw it twice, all the way through, and no indication that there had been any issues. Sorry that you missed it!

Transportation from Disney Hotel to CDG airport (not with the Magical Shuttle)

EzyShuttle worked for us, and were recommended by others on here. However, I like the idea already suggested of sleeping near the airport for the night.

Has anyone used Paris Disney Shuttle for private transfers?

I used EzyShuttle http://site.ezyshuttle.com/ and they were very good. 70 Euros for up to 6 people. A few people have used them happily, but don't know about the other company.

    Characters at EMH

Ah, yes, sorry. I was just thinking about spontaneous characters rather than ones at EMH.

    Characters at EMH

We met Tigger and Eeyore down the side of Casey Jnr train, when we went in May.

    Disneyland Paris - Basic Questions

I would agree with ExpatDisneyLover re taking the TGV if, and only if, the times of the train match the times of your flight. When we went in May, we would have had to wait 1 1/2 hours for the next train, and still have to get a shuttle bus/RER to the hotel. The private taxi shuttle worked out...

    Disneyland Paris - Basic Questions

Absolutely, if you are on your own, the Ibis budget by the Val d'Europe train station has the best location. It is SMALL, but clean and dirt cheap. RER (local train) is probably quicker than the shuttle busses. You can also fly to Paris Charles de Gaul from many places in England. The easiest...

    CDG to DLP

I liked the look of the TGV, but the timetable compared to our flight arrival time would have added another hour onto our journey, plus transfer from the TGV to our hotel - we were in Val d'Europe. Not a huge amount difference in price, once we added up al our train tickets.

    CDG to DLP

EzyShuttle was 70 Euros each way, and was brilliant. booked in advance, met at Arrivals.

One day DLP would love help

If you are staying at a Disney Hotel, then you have Magic Hours from 8am and can ride some rides before the park fully opens at 10. If not, you can still get in to the shops on Main Street and be ready for the rope drop into the rest of the park at 10. You have reservations at Chez Remy at...

Please tell me about the Ratatouille Ride!

I didn't like it - too much like a motion simulator for me, with 3D glasses. There is no way I can do Star Tours, and I went on Ratatouile by mistake! The ride queue outside is fairly dull - it's like the outside of a hotel or restaurant, which is a dull place to be! Inside, you are suddenly on...

Thinking of 2019 for first visit to DLP.

Yes, the DLP website can indeed by confusing. Here is the basic lowdown: There are two parks, with one ticket to go between them. They are next to each other. There is also Disney Village, which is outside the parks and contains shops and restaurants. Further out, there are Disney owned...

Thinking of 2019 for first visit to DLP.

Where are you based? It is quite straight-forward to find and book hotels independently; but if you book through a travel agent, you get extra protection if something goes wrong - could be useful if you are travelling a long way, for example. However, if you are in the UK, and just hopping...

    November 1st Timers

I have not been at that time, but we met a family in the park when we went who said that the weekends in November were a great time to see the Christmas theming because the parks were remarkably quiet, and the weather dry. We are planning to go the last weekend in November now :-)

Hotel advice, please - which to pick?!

Thank you everyone. That has been REALLY helpful. We are going to go with the Explorers hotel, because of the theming and the pool - son is going to blow his mind when he sees it all, as we normally stay in budget hotels (bless him, he thinks Premier Inn is top notch!) I feel reassured regarding...
