    Back after a loooong time!

Hey everyone! Former CM here, but I haven't been to WDW in ~15 years or so. I've been to Disneyland in that time and I keep up with general park news, but I fear I'm pretty out of touch on all the new processes and things that have been put in place over the last decade and a half. Looks like...

How do I add a profile pic?

So I'm over the 10-post minimum requirement, and I still can't figure out how to add a profile picture. Is this something where I need to wait for an admin to approve it manually, or does the option automatically appear somewhere? If so, where? Thanks! EDIT: Nevermind! It's working for me now!

    Flying Southwest....

Internet lore states that--in general--the absolute cheapest time to buy plane tickets is 54 days in advance. A little research indicates that it's more or less true, with a few exceptions. Frankly though, I don't know that the savings is all that great when you do so, and probably not enough to...

Plan of attack w/a First-time guest

Thanks, everyone! Lots of ideas to consider here, but the one constant seems to be either to secure buttons before we hit the park, or later on in the day. Oh, no--we're doing three days in the park: Disneyland, then DCA, then Disneyland again. Between closures and attractions we're not...

    "Mickey Mouse Rock'n Roller Coaster"????

I think it's a combination of a few things: one, there may be a licensing issue in which Disney has to pay Aerosmith an additional royalty for using their name/logo on merchandise. I don't know what their contract looks like, but if it needs to be renewed anytime soon, it's probably best for...

Plan of attack w/a First-time guest

So I'm in kind of an odd position. I'm a WDW vet (and former cast member), but this will be my wife's first visit to any Disney park. I want to make sure she has a great experience, so I'm trying to balance going on a lot of rides with having time to take in the details and theming. I think if...

    Cheap, non-terrible hotels?

Thanks! I should have mentioned. Definitely less than $100, hopefully somewhere closer to $75. We've been looking at AirBnBs; they seem to hover around $100 a night, and you're always taking a chance with those. Great to have all these suggestions!

    Cheap, non-terrible hotels?

That's actually a great point--I was thinking that closer hotels would charge a premium, but I hadn't considered the competition factor. Thanks so much!

    What Do You Collect?

I collect all sorts of older stuff--Little Golden Books, character banks, and just about anything related to the parks. My only real criteria is that it be from the 60s, 70s, or early 80s, and I don't search online--only things I find at antique stores or flea markets. (I do buy new stuff, too...

    Charging to your room?

I'm guessing this means most of the Downtown Disney stores are excluded as well?

    Cheap, non-terrible hotels?

So we're honeymooning in San Diego next month and my wife's best friend generously gave us three days/two nights at Disneyland/the Disneyland Hotel for a wedding present. San Diego is about a two-hour drive, so we're thinking we'd like to get ourselves a cheap room in or near Anaheim the night...
