Chairs on Castaway Cay before 5k

I’ve done this because when we head into Cabanas everyone seems to want to go to a different food station. That way everyone knows where they are going back to after they have their tray full.

Costa Maya ruins - booking non Disney

Gotcha. I always carry the navigator. I though you meant there was some form we needed to get at the port. I agree, I don’t like the idea of not doing the navigators

That is what we are doing! Thanks for posting, this helps put my mind at ease. Was it far to walk to their location?

Costa Maya ruins - booking non Disney

Yup, it’s the Fantasy in October. We’re leaving an hour and a half buffer. What is the ships port agent information? We didn’t have to do this in other ports

Returning to Ship after rand Cayman excursion

We were the first on the tender ship, so we had to wait for the boat to fill and then go back. It was about 20 minutes at 3:00 in the afternoon.

Seeking Advice on Castaway Cay Snorkeling

We did the snorkel / bike / tube rental for $42 each. Looking back, I would have done on shore rentals because only one of the kids wanted to snorkel. One used a tube and one wanted to bike ride. Lesson learned! ( But if they had all wanted to do all the activities it would have been a great...

Those who have sailed out of Miami

I LOVE Homewood Suites when travelling with the kids! We had a rental car for a day also and decided not to do the beach too We went to Wingate Walls, the kids thought it was really cool. There is a great little independent bakery that had pastry, bread and coffee. If you check it out, you can...

Those who have sailed out of Miami

We stayed at Springhill Suites near the airport. We used Uber and I can not recommend it enough. It was fast and easy. We had friends that got stuck at the port waiting for "scheduled transportation

    Cruise Vacation Protection

My deciding factor was this - if I had to cancel a vacation... would I want another cruise or just the cash? Because I wanted the cash, I went with trip insurance versus the Disney offered vacation plan. I asked a Disney rep how their plan worked and she explained that they have very broad...

    Um...Super Awkward Question...

This was our group, we had people of several races and blended families. I didn't see or hear about any problems. Maybe finding a group on facebook for your sailing date will help. You and your family can get to know other families on the trip and make friends beforehand. WE had a great group...

Ever see anything totally shocking and unexpected on a cruise?

I would be so bummed if I saw a water spout and missed getting a picture of it.

Transatlantic cruises - what did you love and hate?

My kids complained about port days because they wanted to get back on the ship. I was more worried about the port days than the sea ones, there always seems to be so many fun things going on.

Transatlantic cruises - what did you love and hate?

I wasn't thinking about the lack of kids on the ship. That sure would be different. An extra hour sleep a night would be great! I was talking to my kids about historic sea travel during our cruise. I couldn't imagine the danger they faced just getting into a ship with rudimentary gear, mediocre...

Sailing with 5 - best options?

We have 3 kids, 7, 10 and 11. I think the best bang for our buck is going to be the family deluxe room. Booking 2 staterooms seems to be more expensive. If you sail with 5, I'm interested in hearing how you do it. edited add on - we sailed the Magic last week in the family deluxe veranda and...
