Official 2019 Star Wars Rival Run Weekend

Thank you for your replies. Planning from noon sounds the best thing to do. Kinda in line with Paris where we had lunch at 1pm and the race started at 7 and that was enough time for two of us. Now just to wait to get the bibs sorted and then can relax until dining reservations.

The Lurkyloos Do Disneyland Paris in the Snow! UPDATED 10/18 - How to Get to Paris from Disneyland!

This is the control box for Illuminations. up to the bottom of page 4 It is always amazing to go to Disneyland Paris in the snow but it is definitely one of those experiences that you want to have when you have done everything before rather than it being your only trip. I've been before with...

Disneyland Paris Half Marathon Weekend 2018

Current plan for me and my best mate: Anna and Elsa for 5k (re-using our outfits from the 10k last year) Iago and Lucifer for 10k (the only one we are matching the theme for) Villager Belle and Briar Rose for the half (hoping for our corresponding villans are out somewhere)

Official 2019 Star Wars Rival Run Weekend

Flights and hotel booked for this, just waiting for bibs. This will be my first time doing Run Disney US (will have done Paris twice by the time of the actual weekend). What time would you suggest to start planning your day from after the races? Currently around 3hr half pace.

    2016 Disneyland Paris Half Marathon

Hi. Sorry I've had two people already ask me from Run DV on Facebook. I hope she gets one when they release them.

    2016 Disneyland Paris Half Marathon

Forced to make the horrible decision to pull out of the half marathon. I've been battling chest infections and muscles spasms in my back and I've had to say enough is enough. Cannot defer but I can transfer my bib to someone else. I know this is a long shot but if anyone is interested in my bib...

    2016 Disneyland Paris Half Marathon

Looks like I could be running this solo now due to friend taking a new job in Nigeria whuch has kinda destroyed my urge to run now.

    The Running Thread - 2016

Had a bit of a blow today in relation to the disney paris half-marathon in September. I was meant to be running it with my best friend (insane ultra runner) but she has just accepted a teaching job in Nigeria so won't be able to run it with me. Now having to decide whether I can find anyone else...

    The Running Thread - 2016

So I crossed the 5 mile barrier today and boy did it feel good. I just had that feeling that a half marathon in September maybe wasn't a step too far. I even got a slightly sweaty high five from a runner in the opposite direction which, though completely gross, was just what I needed as I was...

    The Running Thread - 2016

4 miles in an hour today which was actually manageable. Running for 1 min and walking for 1:30 all the way. Looks like my training plan is turning into 30 min twice a week and then a long run at the weekend where I am trying to increase the distance by a mile each week. Hopefully that will mean...

Now got an asthma pump to see if this helps my cough. Ran a 5K this evening and was only 3 minutes slower than the last time I ran that distance.

So I went running today for the first time since 8th May. It wasn't tooooo bad and managed to complete a mile in just over 15 minutes. A time goal may no longer be achievable for the Disney Paris half, I think I might be able to at least complete it.

    The Running Thread - 2016

So it has been a while since I have posted. I now haven't run since 8th May and I still have my chest infection. Antibiotics haven't shifted it and I had an x-ray today. Been able to keep calm about the fact I haven't started training for the Disney Paris Half but beginning to panic now...

    The Running Thread - 2016

I find myself easily doubting myself before I run but can usually push through it once I get started. Having a major stress as I haven't ran for over 2 weeks due to a chest infection and due to start my half marathon training program today and just feel like when I can finally start running...

    The Running Thread - 2016

Suffering from a cough at the moment so not been risking running with it as I am coughing up stuff (sorry for the grossness). Also it is unusually muggy/humid at the moment so kinda been reluctant to run. Working out whether I want to take my running gear to a residential I'm going on with...

    Running watch, garmin, etc.

I have a Garmin 210 and a Galloway interval timer. I use my watch for pacing and timing and my timer for interval. It just clips onto my waistband and I have the choice of beeping or vibrating to mark them or both. It is customisable down to the second which has allowed me to play with what...

ATTQOTD: My mantra tends to be just get round the course. I tend to pick someone who seems a similar speed to me and I tell myself that I will not let them beat me while they have no idea that I am doing that. For the Disney Paris half it is going to be get over that line in enough of a piece to...

    2016 Disneyland Paris Half Marathon

Eurostar tickets booked. Going to be a flying visit, not even in France for 32 hours. Just got to work out where I want to stay in Val D'europe.

    The Running Thread - 2016

I looked at entering the London Marathon but then I thought I would get my half marathon out of the way and see how bad that it is. Maybe a challenge for 2018. So been playing around with my run/walk intervals. Had some success with 10/2 but 2 minutes didn't feel like enough time for me to...

    The Running Thread - 2016

Joined up on Strava, adding some British runs to the mix. Kinda hitting a wall at the moment as my training program (a couch to 10k) is asking me to do longer runs Day 1 - R 20min, Wk 2min, R 20min Day 2 - Run 25min Day 3 - Run 40min Day 1 freaked me out so ended up changing it to 10 min and...
