    Single rider experience

Others have covered the official single rider lines and child swap. In addition to all of that, when waiting in the line, as you get within sight of the boarding area, keep an ear out for a call for single riders. On some rides, Tower of Terror, Flight of Passage, and Rise of the Resistance come...

Looking for help with booking a cabin on the Wonder Deck 6 or 7?

I was in 6590 last summer for Alaska. So kind of the same room, but on the other side of the ship. I noticed zero noise issues coming from below. I was a little nervous when I realized it was one door down and across from the guest laundry room, but that was a non issue too. We enjoyed the room...

    Alaska port TA (TRACY ARM?)

As others have said, Tracy Arm is one of the two fjords that DCL may visit on Glacier Day. Both Sawyer and Dawes glaciers originate from the Stikine Ice Cap, so they have gone more general with the name on the itinerary, since which one they will go to will depend on a number of factors as...

    Christmas party nights, impacting you?

Christmas parties are 3-4 nights per week. Party days tend to be lower than average crowd levels/wait times until about 4:00 when the folks with just party tickets can enter the park. If you do not mind a shortened park day or have park hoppers, a party day is a great day to go to MK from park...

What else to do before/after Alaska

We did Alaska this year, last week of May. We were extremely late to the game, booking just 69 days out, in March. Because of this, flights to Vancouver for us were ridiculous, over twice the price of flying in and out of Seattle. So we flew into Seattle, took the train to Vancouver early the...

How many more days until your Disney cruise - Part 3

305 days until Alaska on the Wonder We booked our first ever cruise earlier this year, about 69 days prior to embarkation. I was so excited, and at the time, that wait seemed SO LONG! I've now applied our placeholder and we have 305 days until embarkation. This feels like an eternity!! Glad to...

Changing from second to first seating?

I only have a sample size of one, but we did not get moved to first seating prior to embarkation. Once on board, we went to French Quarter Lounge, where they were dealing with the dining requests, and were able to move to first seating with no problem.

DIS Unlimited YouTube video at the top of every page

This is an unwelcome addition for sure. If I want to watch the show, I'll go watch the show, I don't need it forced on me on every single page as I read the forums. Edit: Oh geez, and when the page refreshes when you post it auto plays again. This is a terrible user experience!

Still servicing staterooms 2X a day?

I sailed on the Wonder at the end of May and the room was serviced twice a day then.

    Disney’s Magic Band FAQ Link

Missing photos and getting the wrong photos is a fairly common issue. If this happens and it is a photo you want, you can email or use the online form to submit for missing photos. You basically tell them the ride, approximate time, description of the number of people and what they were wearing...

    Disney’s Magic Band FAQ Link

They will work for most functionality indefinitely. Anywhere that you physically tap the band to a touchpoint (entrance gates, lightning lanes, photopass photographers, your room) will work whether the battery in the band still works or not. The only features that require the battery powered...

Disney Pandora Charms Info (Pictures & Prices)

Your comment got me thinking. All of the D100 charms have the lab created diamond. When I look at the description for the Mickey (and Minnie, who is $65 less than Mickey), it states sold 14k gold shoes. The description for Oswald just says 14k gold trousers. So maybe the difference is gold...

Disney Pandora Charms Info (Pictures & Prices)

Very cute. But I don't understand the price escalation on this collection. Oswald was (still is) $150. Mickey looks to be the same general size, so roughly the same amount of material, yet is $100 more.

How bad is Alaska Cruise in September?

I did the May 22 sailing this year. Temps ranged from lows in about the low 40s (which can feel pretty cold when outside on a moving ship) to maybe right around 70. We had at least some rain most days. Glacier day started out a little foggy and drizzly, but cleared up by late morning. We did...

Disney Band+ will be available to guests sailing on the Disney Magic in October.

Interesting. I was wondering when/if there would be news of possibly rolling this out to the rest of the fleet. We are looking at another Alaska cruise for last next summer and I would love to hear it's coming to the Wonder.

    Disney needs rethink their buffet

That would be us. We did not know we could go to Cabanas. We thought that we HAD to go to the main dining room. Given we had early dinner, thus the early breakfast for disembarkation day, breakfast was so early and then we had to sit around for another probably close to 2 hours before we could...

    Earliest memories of Disney

Summer 1981, a little shy of 3 years old. The only memory I have, and it's hazy, is of being scared of Elliott in the Main Street Electrical Parade, when he blew smoke. I think because the MSEP is the only hazy memory I have of my first ever Disney trip, I have a strong nostalgia for it as an...

Everything Virtual Queue - Please Read Posts 1 and 2

Correct. We were in the park by 4:12 last Friday. As we walked by an info board, I think in Adventureland, we noticed that it said the virtual queue was still open, so we opened the app and were able to grab two spots. Our boarding group got called around 5:15 and we finished up just after 6pm.

    refillable mugs

We were there Labor Day weekend. We paid $17.99 for our cup the first day, which gets you the cup and unlimited refills for that day. Ended up with one of the HHN ones that has the handle. Future days use requires paying a daily reactivation fee. We paid $11.99 to reactivate it each day. Note...
