    EBTA late dining

(I'm not OP.) You could always go to the dining desk upon embarking. However FYI, first dining is at capacity on the EBTA.

    Turkish Airlines Lounge in MIA

We are flying in from MIA in a few weeks. First time we go there since Delta restricted lounge access and we no longer qualify. I noticed there is a Turkish Airlines lounge between concourse H and J. We would have access with our credit card (LoungeKey), however I've read that depending on the...

    Last Minute onboard charge

Bars and restaurants usually post their bills when they see fit. If they post before your folio is closed, business as usual, you will be billed as expected with your on-board account. If they post after your folio is closed, but before you disembark, you will be denied disembarking and have...

Help me understand PAT vs boarding group

As mentioned before, PATs and BGs are linked together. DCL wants a steady flow of people coming in the terminal, and embarking into the ship. If you change your PAT to an earlier PAT you will also get an earlier BG.

Do you like the turn-down chocolates on DCL?

Thanks for pointing that out. Any “chocolate” where sugar is the main ingredient is average at best. This has already been mentioned in this thread, other cruise lines are very good when providing chocolates for turndown. Too bad Disney doesn't feel there is a need for “competition” there.

    Holiday Inn Disney Springs Area

Thanks for sharing your experience with this hotel! Now my wife just said she found a rate at the All Stars Movies Resort and I'm not so sure I'm thrilled. I get she says ASMo has a more authentic “Disney feeling” and a seemingly nicer pool, but I'm feeling like being “downgraded” if we go...

Curiosity question - what do you pack/wear for cruises?

To me, the convenience factor is key in choosing how I pack. And unfortunately, “too many clothes, too many shoes” is becoming one of my mottos.

Transatlantic - Tell Me All the Things!

Regarding the TAs, as one of the longest cruise (short of the transpacific), does anyone have the recollection of how much does it cost to connect to the internet? I guess the “cruise-length” package saves a lot of money here, but still, it's going to be expensive?

Do you like the turn-down chocolates on DCL?

I always find it cheap that they use inexpensive chocolate for turndown. Always those moments at headquarters where someone hints “we could give our guests fine and gourmet chocolate for turndown”, someone else wave “great idea, what about getting an inexpensive one BUT look we'll print our...

    Holiday Inn Disney Springs Area

We are planning a quick trip to Orlando early in May, and we have some points to spend on a IHG property. On our short-list is the Holiday Inn Disney Springs Area — but we also hesitate with the Holiday Inn Resort Lake Buena Vista. I am a Diamond Ambassador in the IHG Rewards program. To give...

How is Dream different than Magic/Wonder (other than larger)

That's highly arguable. Without a doubt, I prefer the layout of the adult area of the Magic that the one of the Dream: on the largest ship, the swimming pool has a much smaller area with loungers that is accessible without using stairs, the bar has a much “random” look & feel. Granted, there is...

Pineapple whip no longer a sorbet

We were in the parks today, my wife got herself a Pineapple whip and asked if it was the same than last year. Was told about the change.

Pineapple whip no longer a sorbet

PSA for those who can't eat/don't want to eat ice creams with milk, that's one option less at DLP.

    Placeholder questions...

I'm glad it worked for you, even though it's technically against their terms and conditions: “The offer is valid for up to 2 staterooms on one sail date per household on board regardless of the number of adults in the household.”...

    Placeholder questions...

You may buy up to 2 placeholders for each cruise, but need to use them on the same future cruise. You may however stack up as many placeholders as you wish, as long as you don't buy more than 2 at any given cruise. When you do so, you should use the oldest one first so that they don't expire.

    Earliest PAT for Ft. Lauderdale?

Yes, and you get a pass so they can make sure you actually board back before anyone. Or if you pass some time in town, the pass allows you to re-board non-withstanding your BG. That doesn't rule out that, Disney being Disney, a low PAT ensure you won't get lost in the process if something...

Transatlantic - Tell Me All the Things!

$4k for a free lunch at Palo's? Definitely a steal! As we have just been promoted Gold, our cost for a free lunch at Palo's is way higher!

Transatlantic - Tell Me All the Things!

This, I believe, applies to the Disney Visa discount. Castaway Gold and above doesn't have a minimum spending. (Not 100% sure as we are on our first Gold cruise in a few days, but that's what I remember reading here…)

    Earliest PAT for Ft. Lauderdale?

It should be unnecessary, as you should get a pass that gives you access to ship regardless of which BG is boarding. But Disney being Disney…
