    Half board

I booked a trip in April and received a half board with the promotion. Our half board was considered a standard half board. We are staying at the Davie Crockett ranch. Ours includes breakfast at our hotel (some include a voucher) and a voucher for lunch or dinner for each night. I used the...

Tusker House or Boma for dinner

We are at Tusker House a few weeks ago. My husband is a chef ....he was very concerned about the food temp of the food served. The wait staff was nice and my kids enjoyed the characters. Needless to say we will likely not eat there again because to food on the buffet was not likely at the right...

    Grand Floridian at 7 months

I own at AKV. For the past 3 years, I have had no issues snagging a one bedroom standard view 7months out at VGF. I would say you will have no issues booking.

    Grand Floridian Lake vs Standard

We had the pool view last year. This year we had the monorail. Personally, I preferred the pool view, because we could see when the pool was open/closed.

Disney Discovery Lodge - name survey

Oh my....that does sound like a rehab facility. Hope Disney does not go with that name

    V&A’s: 7 courses or 10?

My husband and I are going to V&A for the first time in three weeks. We have debated the 7 vs 10 course since we made our reservation. We finally decided to go for the 10. The pictures online of the food look amazing - can’t wait.

best and worse meal of your last trip to WDW?

Best: Shulas. Akershus (they got a new chef so it’s now at the top). 1900 Parkfare Worst: chef mickeys. My husband however disagrees with this, but I believe he had to many drinks while we were waiting for our table. I may have to update soon as my husband and I have reservations at Victoria...

DVCers who cook in the suite: What is your packing list?

We usually stay in a one bedroom with 5, and there are plenty of plates. I would recommend bringing or buying a small pack of dishwasher detergent (I.e cascade packets). They do give you some dishwashing packets, but I always need more. There are at least two rolls of papertowels but I bring...

Rank your favorite Resorts and Tell Why...

1 VGF - The hotel and the rooms are gorgeous. Love the kitchen in the one bedroom and proximity to the magic kingdom. Feels like home. 2 Poly - love the atmosphere. Reminds me of my honeymoon in Hawaii. The Kids love stitch 3 AK Jambo - where we own. Love sitting outside and watching the...

DVCers who cook in the suite: What is your packing list?

I am married to a chef so we eat many meals on our vacation. We always bring our air fryer and a wine bottle opener (the one in the room stinks). I make a run to the super target, when we get to Orlando, and I stock up on everything we need. I like someone’s post about a French press - great...

One Bedroom AKL vs. Studio Near park

Our family loves meals in the one bedroom. After several years of Disney trips, eating on the meal plan for a week at a time loses its allure. Not to mention, we feel physically ill by the end of the week from eating too much food. I always make a run to the Super Target (near Disney) and stock...

One Bedroom AKL vs. Studio Near park

We own at AKV. My husband and I bought 300 points because we always wanted to stay in a one bedroom and not a studio. The food savings alone is worth staying in a one bedroom, for our family. Also, our last two trips we have managed to swing a one bedroom at the grand Floridian. So don’t feel...

VGF, CCV, or BLT for a two bedroom

I would also vote for VGF. We checked out yesterday, after a week in a one bedroom villa at VGF. It was absolutely amazing. Was totally worth every point. Loved the proximity to the monorail. The pool has an awesome slide for kids (and grown ups). Daily nespresso service in the lobby. On site...

    2 years on and I still can't get FP+ for 7DMT lol

I went to Disney last weekend and could not get a fast pass for 7DMT either. Someone on this site made a recommendation to catch it immediately after the fireworks which worked amazingly well. We bolted over and the line was well inside (everyone is standing inside line is less than 30 minutes)...

Test Track vs Soarin' Fast Pass Strategy

I would rope drop soarin or catch it at the end of the day - lines are usually no more than 20 minutes. Single ride or fast pass test track.

Friend cancelled my FP for Frozen. Suggestions?

I was at Epcot on Saturdy and the ride broke 5 times in one day. We waited for 90 minutes until we got on the boat. As soon as we got in the boat...the ride went down. The lesson learned was not to go to Epcot with complete anticipation of riding frozen at this time. Disney is having so many...

Fingerprint or scan of 3-9 year olds at WDW

I was at Disney a few days ago. My family has annual passes, and the my boys (ages 3 and 7) were required to do finger scans. My boys are rather energetic and could not keep their finger still. They would try but ultimately could never get Mickey to turn green. The cast member recommended using...
