    Magical Express Ending Service

It was $155 for one way prior to the pause. No idea what the demand was like, but I'm guessing this price was partially due to how few vehicles there were. We did a rental from Alamo for a day trip offsite. They picked us up at SSR and returned us there when we brought the car back in the...

    Magical Express Ending Service

It was just extremely convenient to not have to worry about bags or ground transportation before even leaving my house. It added to the "all in one" nature of the vacation. Yes, obviously. Though some folks here are pointing out that they managed to get along fine before DME, so maybe they...

    Magical Express Ending Service

Beyond the Disney bubble lock-in thing, it's just a weird that it would have to be "cut". My expectation (prior to the announcement) would be they would just tack on a surcharge "indefinitely" and keep it running. It's a popular service and people would pay for it!

    Magical Express Ending Service

There are so many people (in normal operating times) that need transportation from MCO to the resort. It doesn't seem workable to tell everyone to grab a Lyft or a rental car.

Discontinued due to covid (just using it as a recent example), but they WERE offered as a Disney-provided option.

    Magical Express Ending Service

No standard shuttle service from the airport to your hotel seems... unworkable. Not just for me as a guest, but for the parks! Even standard hotels have a shuttle loop. The $155 (per way) Minivan isn't worth it at all. I'm assuming another shoe will drop here, but if not, wow, that's a huge...

Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout

Toy Story Mania is one of the most popular rides Disney has ever created, and was revolutionary when it was released. To say the ride wasn't well designed or not thought out is a bit of hyperbole.

Disney Quarterly Earnings and Say goodbye to Disney Infinity

After the success of Battlefront (and Disney Crossy Road!), I'm not surprised Disney is pivoting to licensing and not developing. Developing games is hard and expensive. Sell licenses and let those with the experience make the games.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party / Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party Tier Pricing. SAD

Suggesting that Disney made the prices lower than the internet speculation by design is Peak Disboards. Wildly speculating a ludicrous price increase (some were guaranteeing $150+), and then it not reaching that is not Disney's fault. These events are crowded and popular, prices went up. As they...

    DVC eliminates perks for resale

Glad I got out membership in under the wire late last year, as I suspected more restrictions were coming (based on how far Resale vs Direct is continuing to diverge).

Agree to Disagree! DISUnplugged Show March 22!

Time is money, and at WDW the exchange rate is typically favorable. Park experience can also be purchased: Touring Plans, Birnbaum's, Kenny the Pirate, Unofficial Guide to WDW, EasyWDW Guide, etc. Sure you have to read them, but they've done the hard work for you. These guides are constantly...

How far in advance do you plan your trips?

Our park days and such rarely, if ever, vary year to year (we like starting and ending with MK, off day wednesday, etc), so the planning is always going on as we keep a running list of the things we haven't done or one-time splurges for the next trip. Obvious planning starts at 7 months when we...

Rock n Rollercoaster in the wake of the possible change to Disney's Hollywood Adventure.

Less expensive in terms of startup time (theoretically). Much more expensive in terms of guest experience and getting it right. VR is easy to create demos that might work. Developing VR into something for everyone is very difficult (speaking with first hand experience).

Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

For me, Chase Sapphire Preferred has been great though the perks have dropped over the past few years. It has a $95 fee, but with double points on food/travel, and 1:1 transfer to southwest, we get at least 2 free flights a year out of it. Also, room charges count in the "travel" category, so...

Agree to Disagree! DISUnplugged Show March 22!

I can already see the forum posts! "Disney offers new day pass for non-theme park activities. They must really be desperate for money. Could this be the end?"
