Forbes article says DCL loses $325 million

Unfortunately that's all that really matters.

Unfortunately, worst vacation we ever had

Agreed. I think a lot a vloggers aren't willing to say anything negative about Disney because they don't want to lose access to media events, free cruises and whatever other perks they receive.

Why are Disney cruises still so expensive?

The MSC casino was smoke free on our cruise.

Why are Disney cruises still so expensive?

We're Platinum and matched Diamond so I'm sure Pearl also would.

Why are Disney cruises still so expensive?

My kids enjoyed the kids clubs on MSC. Everything seemed a little more structured than DCL and since there weren't nearly as many kids, they received a lot more attention from the "CMs).

Magic Concierge Lounge Pictures After Drydock

Does anyone have pictures they could post?

Travel Agent treating you different after changing booking class?

I had a similar experience with my TA (not DU) when I canceled my DCL cruise and wanted to book a different cruise line with them. I assume mine was commission related.

    Hotels in San Diego

The Hotel del Coronado is amazing. Great beach and many food options within a few minutes walk.

    Concierge 1bedroom on the Magic

Try to book 8032, 8532, 8034 or 8534 if possible. They have a sideways layout so it feels much larger and the Murphy Bed is in the living room and not the Master Bedroom. They also have a triple wide verandah.

    Concierge PAT

I always stay up and make sure Shoreside booked everything I wanted.

    Hotel in San Diego

It's hard to beat the view from the SpringHill Suites San Diego Downtown/Bayfront. It's less than a 5 minute walk to the terminal. https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/sandh-springhill-suites-san-diego-downtown-bayfront/overview/

    Dressing for dinner

You won't feel out of place at all. I wear flip-flops and shorts to every meal. Even on Formal Night, you're not going to see many men wearing suits and tuxes or women wearing elegant gowns.

    Concierge tipping - cautionary tale!

I don't believe the OP's version of the story.

    Disney *Should* Be Ashamed

I completely agree. Do any other cruises lines do it the same way as DCL?

    Concierge tipping - cautionary tale!

I've sailed in Concierge with Danny many times and to call him shady and dishonest is laughable.

    Disney *Should* Be Ashamed

I think the lack of Palo availability on the Wish has more to do with the additional 35 Concierge staterooms than more Platinum CC members sailing.

    Disney *Should* Be Ashamed

I'd rather have a $45 food and drink OBC than the Palo benefit.

When doing conceirge, are you able to do something w. your carry on bags upon boarding?

Depending upon what time you board, your room might be available. We've left our backpacks and other carry on luggage in the Concierge Lounge during those times when our room wasn't available.

    Disney *Should* Be Ashamed

I understand your frustration. Unfortunately there are a lot of Disney who don't care and Disney knows it.

Any concierge level tips / advice / suggestions for a first timer?

I wouldn't be surprised if they stopped the private meet and greet. It was sometimes very chaotic and time consuming on the other ships and with 30+ more Concierge rooms on the Wish, it will only be worse.
