Any rumors on DVC AP discounts for Mickey's 90th Birthday?

IIRC, when they announced the increased pricing in Feb 2018, the announcement came the day of. No prior warning from Disney, but there were rumors circulating on the Dis. We decided to get the DVC APs for next year before Oct 16th, just in case.

Just pushed up our trip by a day- Booked All Star but should i call DVC?

If you're arriving that late I'd stick with your current plan or you could check with the Hyatt at MCO and catch DME in the morning. That's if you are using DME and want to stay at the airport.

    Split Stay Dining Plan Question

This will be your best bet. That way the DDP will be active when you go to get the cups and for any meals you may need. Plus, you will be there with your bags since you said you didn't want to transfer them through bell services.

Recommendations for 30th birthday back up plan

Best bet is to look at the menus and figure out what your friend will eat. The Wave is a great restaurant at the Contemporary. I would recommend staying at the monorail resorts to be able to get back to MK quickly after dinner.

Percentage of stays at home resort

We're newer members and just back from a trip to WDW and did a spilt stay to check out all the other accommodations, but we will probably stick with our home resorts. If we have a specific need to stay at an Epcot area resort, we'll try at 7 months.

    Park Shoes

I also wear Keen sandals. If they get wet, it's breathable and dry quickly. They are my go to park shoes.

New ticket system coming to WDW - Begins October 16th

However, if you add the taxes and fees, your final price is more than UT tickets. It's about $6 difference, though. We were pricing the 7 day Park-hoppers. Just so you know. :)

New ticket system coming to WDW - Begins October 16th

That's what we are planning now. We were going to buy UT tickets and upgrade when we are down there next Sept, but now we're going to buy just the DVC gold pass. When we purchase online, we would need to activate it at the parks and that's when the AP time starts.

    ticket expiration

No, but you do receive credit for those tickets towards the new ticket purchase. See the ticket sticky in the TPAS forum. https://www.disboards.com/threads/all-about-tickets-upgrades.3570721/

Got it on the DVR, we are going to watch it tonight.

New ticket system coming to WDW - Begins October 16th

With this rollout, I wonder if they are also going to be adding a ticket price increase as well. I might look into buying discounted tickets for next year.

Great! Just wanted to see if you knew what UY would work for you and know when your banking deadline is. (Knock on wood) We haven't cancelled a trip yet, but glad to have our banking window in March as we don't travel during the last 4 months of our UY due to DW work obligations.

:welcome: HOME, neighbor! I was reading your post when you were looking into purchasing and you definitely decided on a great resort. Was Dec UY your choice or was that what Disney is currently pushing? I only ask because you mentioned on your purchasing post, you traveled at the end of...

    Getting to Anaheim from LAX

You can take the Disneyland Express bus or a shuttle. We used SuperShuttle (which is a shared shuttle) earlier this year and it was perfect and cheap. The DL Express bus want running at the time of our arrival as we arrived at 6 am. You could always rent a town car to take you as well or rent a...

Wilderness Lodge - relaxed, low key vibe + various questions

I think you were asking about the change at Artist Point. Here's the link to the DPB. https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2018/08/storybook-dining-at-artist-point-debuts-this-winter-at-disneys-wilderness-lodge/

    Modifying a reservation

I agree with the PP and book a longer trip during your 11 month home resort period. This is only if you have enough points without borrowing. You can always drop days, but in order to add days or change days, it'll be based on availability at the time of modification.

Wilderness Lodge - relaxed, low key vibe + various questions

The WL lobby is so quiet and peaceful. You can just sit and relax. We love the Poly resort, but the Grand Ceremonial House is very loud and busy with check-in for Ohana and the luau. I hope with the recently announced character meal at Artist Point, it doesn't change the atmosphere of the lobby.

    New Member Education Team

Honestly, I didn't make the call when we purchased our initial contract back in 2016. I felt I learned enough from these boards that I didn't need make that call. We're going to be booking our third DVC stay for next year.
