    How much extra money?

My mom normally did $100 for each of us (there's 2 of us) when we were kids. However, prices have gone up drastically, and if you have a younger kid, let's say they want a play set from Lego Land in DTD, those could be about $60 each already. I say $200 each kid is an acceptable price.

What do you do on departure day when you have a later flight?

Drop to 7 days and just do Downtown Disney for some souvenir shopping and lunch before you leave. Remember, Magical Express picks you up at the hotel 3 hours before your flight. So you'd have to be packed and ready and in the lobby by about 4:15pm, and since you have little kids, it might be...

When to go - Sept or Oct?

Bugs aren't that bad in the parks. Lots of bees though because the humidity is the WORST in August and September. Weather is so much better in October, however it is a bit slower in September, especially because Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is in October so it gets packed. On that...

Pls help me surprise my kids w Disney

No need to be rude...just a suggestion. Easter is coming up this Sunday. If you celebrate, you could still do this idea but put it in the Easter baskets.

    Teen DISer's: Introduce Yourselves!!! :)

Hi, I'm Emily! I'm 18, and I'm a freshman in college. I'm from New Jersey, and I've been to Disney 18 times. (Yes, once per year since I was 6 months old, my family is a bunch of Disney freaks lol). Favorite park is Magic Kingdom, however my favorite ride is Tower of Terror. Favorite character...

Where else can I cut cost?

Townhouses are a good idea, but you know now you have to pay for parking every time you go into the park, right? Honestly, I recommend doing this: go park at a resort in the morning, such as Contemporary or something. Tell them you have reservations at Chef Mickey's or something for breakfast...

    It's been a while.....need help planning

Purchase tickets from Undercover Tourist. They're cheaper. Yes, meal plan, otherwise you're spending way more on food, but you can only do a meal plan when you're staying in a hotel on property. On your magic bands through your disney account, based on what days you're going where, you can pick...

Driving from Pa to Disney world....

Last July, gas prices were almost $3.50/gal and we drove from Jersey and spent a little over $250 round trip. That's as much as one person's plane ticket. It's definitely cheaper to drive.

    College Budget Fall Trip

Hi! I'm in college as well, and me and 3 friends are going from August 22nd-28th. I've been to Disney every year since I was 6 months old, so I've been basically everywhere, haha! I went in high school twice too as an 18 year old, and I make minimum wage at my job so this is my third budget trip...

My Toddler Hates Riding in a Stroller - Help!

You can buy a fan that clips on to the side of the visor part so it will cool her off while she naps. Bring a tiny travel pillow for her. She should be fine. If she's that young and little, put her in the stroller by herself. She can lay across it. It's kind of like a bench. She'll be fine! :)

My Toddler Hates Riding in a Stroller - Help!

The WDW rental strollers arent really strap-in strollers. Your kid just sits down and with your other kid. They're not separated. It's like a little bench. They're cheap to rent to. She can get in and out as she pleases. I'd say just rent a stroller just in case but don't bring your own. She...

Pls help me surprise my kids w Disney

The night before, surprise them. Wrap up a big box and tell them to all open it together. Inside of it, put their magic bands, a disney shirt for each of them, maybe some mickey ears or a disney gift card for each of them with like $20 on it? That way you don't just tell them. They get some...

Need ideas for sweet sixteen trip

Make sure your daughter gets the birthday pin and the birthday mickey ears or even a sweet 16 sash. Have them all get cute matching shirts that your daughter can custom design (cheap from vistaprint.com). A special birthday dinner would be nice. Maybe at Cinderella's Royal Table. Expensive, but...

What to do on DDs 10th birthday in WDW?

Bibbidi Bobiddi Boutique goes up to age 12, so she's eligible for that. Maybe a nice dinner at Chef Mickey's or Cinderella's Royal Table with all the characters and get her a cake. The restaurant can custom make it for you if you call them ahead of time. Let her wear a princess costume, or make...

See what the Disabilities Board says, but you won't really be limited to anything. You'll have so much fun. The kids will love it. Don't worry about it at all :)

Better to rent or bring own stroller?

I say rent. The way the strollers are designed, it's easy for them to get in and out quickly and often, whenever they want to stop for rides or characters. You don't have to constantly unbuckle them and lift them out.

new blog: How young is too young? Bringing a baby to Walt Disney World

My parents brought me to WDW when I was 6 months old. Granted, I don't remember any of it, obviously, but looking at the pictures are too cute for words! I've gone every year since I was 6 months old and I'm 18 now. I'm in the process of making a photo book of pictures from every single year!
