Cape May Dinner - $71 if you want crab legs!?

Born and raised New England gal here and I no longer make the mistake of ordering seafood at Disney World (particularly lobster, crab etc.) Definitely no where near worth the prices but even here where seafood is easily obtained and very fresh, prices are up!

    ogas

We were just there a few weeks ago. As others have said, they only have drinks and 2 food items - one is a charcuterie board and one is chips and dip. Both are on the exotic side so FYI if you have picky eaters. Check out the menu online. You have a 45 minute time limit and the seating is varied...

    Caribbean Beach vs Wilderness Lodge

Have stayed at both; just got back from a 9 days at WL and would pick that hands down over CBR any day of the week. We had an absolutely amazing time and loved the resort. My favorite out of all the Disney resorts I've stayed at and I've stayed at a bunch. It's so magical, boat to MK is quick...

I wish BOG would bring back their lunch

Just ate here a week ago and was surprised at the pre fixe only lunch options and cost. My husband was not happy at all. To be honest, I didn't pay enough attention when booking our dining reservations and saw BOG lunch available, so I just automatically booked it. We had always done BOG lunch...

    Biergarten

We were the same, Biergarten was a one and done for us, but glad we experienced it. There just wasn't enough that my husband and kids would eat to justify the cost - and this was back when it was still a buffet, so more choices. I can't see paying the per person price when my kids mostly ate...

    Hollywood & Vine- blech

I think H & V has been fairly notorious for sub par food, especially back when it was buffet. But as others have said, character meals tend to be more about the experience than the good food, so I usually set the bar pretty low. We went about 5 years ago and it was just OK. Haven't been back since!

Options for toddler (23mos) who sleeps best in full-size crib

I would say your options are to either request the crib from the hotel and hope for the best (I've never had them not accommodate); go with another crib rental company or since you're driving, you can buy one ahead of time and bring it with you or go to a local Walmart etc. in Orlando and pick...

    Narcoosees

Like most signature dining, they do not enforce the dress code. You'll see people in very casual attire and no one says a peep. However, we always like to dress up a bit for a nice dinner. I love the location of the restaurant, being right on the water and meandering through the grounds of the...

How much should a family of 3 be prepared to spend (food)?

As everyone said - depends on your eating style/preferences, whether you're going to do mostly QS meals or TS meals, or a combination of both and whether you'll be buying cocktails, eating breakfast in the room or getting pizza delivery at night etc. Most people do a combination of options while...

    Cinderella’s Royal Table questions

We are going in April and I just reserved CRT for lunch. Our youngest is 5 and we really want to soak up these experiences before she gets too grown up on us. We did the same thing for her older sister so it's only fair. Although, for a party of 5 for lunch I had to pre pay $350 - seems crazy...

Anyone else having issue with reservations this morning?

I did my reservations yesterday and was running into the same issues. It's very glitchy. Keep refreshing or try another device too (your phone instead of computer etc.) What worked for me was to search by specific restaurant and then put in the date/time request and party size. The availability...

Contemporary or Polynesian for May 2021?

I would go Poly. Never been a big fan of the vibe at contemporary. Just never screamed “vacation” to me! But the Poly seems fun and laid back. I would stay there instead even with construction inconveniences.

    Beach Club Villa or Riviera

Riviera doesn’t look all that appealing to me for some reason. I would go Beach Club, can’t beat the location with the convenience of getting to HS and Epcot quickly. And it’s just a really fun, laid back resort atmosphere with lots of dining options all over with the boardwalk nearby too.

    *** Official April 2021 Thread ***

Same here - we usually try to bring them at least every 18 months to 2 years. We did an anniversary trip in May 2019 (just hubby and me) then did a 40th birthday couples trip in Jan 2020 so the last 2 times I have been have been without my kids. Had plans to do a family trip in Spring 2020 and...

Boulder Ridge Villas 4/16 to 4/24!! :) Very excited - first time bringing the kids back since Nov 2018. Kids will be 14, 11 and 5 and husband and me. Always wanted to stay at Wilderness Lodge so very happy we were able to book BRV. Looking forward to dining reservations opening up soon!

Staying at AKL. Is traveling to Whispering Canyon worth it?

If you have time to kill, a trip to Wilderness Lodge is always worth it just to see it and take in the sights there. It's a beautiful resort. I don't think breakfast at WC is going to be a whole lot different than what you can get elsewhere in the parks though. I also would recommend taking an...

    BOG or CRT?

While I think CRT is definitely overpriced and a bit overrated, I would pick that one with 10 year old girls.

    Trying to decide

Been to both and of the two, for dinner I would probably pick Mama Melrose. Brown Derby has been a bit overrated for us. I would stop there for a cocktail and app or something light (cobb salad), but probably not for a big meal like dinner. It's a bit spendy and we've never been overly impressed...
