Connecting balconies on the Disney Wish - Cabins 6138, 6140,6142 ???

We had connecting staterooms 7084 and 7086 on the Wish and the balconies connected - we asked our stateroom host to connect them for us and it was no problem. I just looked at a picture I took of the balcony of 7086 and you can clearly see hinges on the verandah wall that look likes it can be...

Post all SW questions concerns, etc. here...

Whoa! That’s crazy and seems almost criminal! They should seriously limit the # of EB they sell! The worst EB I’ve received has been like B6-10 coming back from MCO over spring break. I was sweating bullets watching family boarding because my kids were young enough that I really wanted to sit...

Unfamiliar with food options at MCO. Hoping for help.

We had a flight that arrived at MCO at 9:30pm on a Tuesday a couple of weeks ago and stayed at the MCO Hyatt. We were starving and went to McCoys - their late night menu is served until midnight and, honestly, is not that much more expensive than quick service at WDW.

    cheapest 1 day 1 park?

My daughter just bought a one day 2 park ticket from undercover tourist and it was $7.00 cheaper than directly from universal after taxes.

HELP me chose a resort. POP vs AKL

I love the Skyliner, but I’d vote for AKL over Pop if they were similarly priced. DVC studios are great with little kids - you have the kitchenette, the couch area for relaxing/down time (my kids always used the coffee tables for playing with action figures or coloring during down time) and a...

Alaska Dining - Early or Late?

We did early dining and it was a scramble to get to dinner on time one night - we tossed our bags in our room and went to dinner in the clothes we wore for the excursion. Other than that, it wasn’t an issue and we did excursions in every port,

Spring Break - Last Minute Planning

We have been at Disney over Easter a couple of times. My kids were old enough that I didn’t have to do a basket, but I still made them a little “basket”. One year I used a small paper gift bag with some Easter grass as a basket and another year I filled one of those paper sacks that are the...

    Please remove this thread.

I don’t know … my daughter’s university serves burgers that are a beef and mushroom blend. When I googled it, it looks like it’s not uncommon.

How often do you wash your bath towel?

I use a new towel every couple of days.

    Resort days before cruise?

We spent 2 nights in a studio at Boulder Ridge before our Wish cruises in May. We got to the resort around 3:30pm the first day and didn’t do much beyond eating a quick service dinner and relaxing. The next day was a pool day with dinner at Steakhouse 71. It was actually a pretty relaxing way...

Wilderness Lodge vs Caribbean Beach in July

Yes! Like the above poster said, don’t underestimate the value of being able to head to the gift shop or the quick service without having to go outside in July. I also really appreciate the fact that the walkway from the bus stop to the resort is covered in the case of rain (which happens a lot...

    Do you think it's fair...

Americans have become obsessed with perfectly aligned, wide, white smiles. If you look back to movies from the 80’s, the younger actors have straight teeth and the older ones may have some crooked ones here and there. Teeth aren’t artificially big or perfectly white. You see natural tooth...

Alaska Itineraries: Icy Straight Point vs. Skagway

We visited both Skagway and Icy Strait Point on our cruise and they were my two favorite ports. I’d happily go to either one again. Skagway was great for heading to the Yukon, taking the scenic railway, etc. It’s a very busy port and there were other ships in port and some large bus excursions...

    Pull-down Murphy bed available in a 1-bedroom??

Boulder ridge has them, but it’s not a guarantee. We stayed in a remodeled studio on the top floor in May 2023. Due to the angle of the ceiling, there was a normal sofa bed and not a Murphy bed. It was a brand new sofa bed and my college kid didn’t complain about it at all … but not a Murphy.

Cass, Rob & Kira - Our MAGICal Christmas Cruise 2023

Excited to log in today and find another Cass and family cruise report! Also enjoying Jen and family! My DH and I sailed in 7070 on the Magic on our very first cruise back in 2000! I knew that room number sounded familiar, so I logged into my DCL account. LOL

Trying to decide which month is better

We’ve been in July and August - both are lava hot, so I’d choose July because of the lowered hurricane risk. I’ve never stayed at the Beach Club, but I agree that having covered walkways and the shops and quick service located where you can access them from indoors could be a real plus on a...

Magic kingdom, Lobster roll, Columbia Harbour House

I fell in love with lobster rolls on my first trip to New England and always get the lobster roll at CHH! It’s pretty tasty and the portion is good. The salmon meal looked to be quite good if you’re looking for lighter fare (but I’ve never tried it because I love lobster rolls). CHH is our...

The Widow and the Spinster: The Search for Adventure, Enlightenment, and the Quest for Forbidden food - Bacon, Bacon, Bacon, and New TR Link! 4/2

Following along … what an adventure! Those lay flat airline seats look so neat - I really enjoyed your play by play of that flight. :)

DREAMing of the Fjords: 8/19/23-8/26/23 (Completed)

The scenery is so pretty in the fjords! I would love to do this cruise! That’s a bummer about your excursion being cancelled though. :( I had never considered letting my college kids choose their own excursion (of course, we’ve only been on one cruise with them as adults … and it was a 4 night...
